"I've felt the touch of death. You've seen the scar. But i did not feel what you felt, what i felt was a desire to keep going. To find use in my life and find a goal." Oirendial looked at Drugo, wondering if her words even reached his befuddled mind

In response to Oirendial, Drugo said, "We all must keep going. There is a goal for all of us. But, we must always be ready for change and acceptance. We must adapt for the necessity of our survival."

"Seems like your waking up if you can use big words like that" Oirendial said with a smile on her face. After all, smiling was the best way to forgot your worries as her mom used to say. "How did you know it was you in yuor vision? Maybe the dark one is the one your meant to defeat."

Kaelmourn sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose, having been quiet for a little while before finally interjecting his opinion back into the matter. "Drugo you shouldn't be out here when-" There was a sudden lurch of movement behind Kaelmourn which interrupted him, the creaking of protesting bark as the tree itself began to twist and turn. He remained absolutely still as his mind processed this, spotting a branch that almost looked like an arm pass over him.
"Treant..." He muttered before his body sprang into action, leaping forward just as the hand back around to grab at him and dashing down through the forests. He wasn't about to fight a Treant, he just needed to get beyond the forest as would the others.

Oirendial saw Kaelmourn dash into the forest and without even knowing what was going, she dashed after him, pulling drugo up at the arm and dragging him, fearing his winefilled brain would get him killed. "What is it Kaelmourn, why are we running?" she yelled as she dodged the lowhanging branches.

Kaelmourn silently cursed his race's surface cousins for their inability to see in the dark like he could. The forest groaned behind them as roots burst out of the ground to act as legs and dragged their wooden body towards the forest's intruders. He simply darted forth, leaping over obstacles and roots that would otherwise trip him with his lithe movements. His eyes kept a careful watch for any others but it only seemed to be the Treant behind them, he hoped it stayed that way with the edge of the forest now in sight.

Oirendial dashed after him as fast as she could, but she could not fully keep up. though now she heard strange sounds behind her that made her run slightly faster then she normally would. Luckily she had elven vision, and though it did not give her clear night vision, she could see enough to not fall on her face in the darkness of the forest. She yelled at Kaelmourn again. "What are we running from?"

"Do you not have ears? A treant!" Kaelmourn pushed himself hard as he made one final dash out to the edge of the forest, practically exploding out of its lip in a flurry of leaves and broken twigs from trees. Kaelmourn slowed himself down to a soft jog and took a deep breath, trying to catch his breath. He looked to the forest to see the progress of his comrades. Out of the corner of his eye he spotted that black wolf again, its eyes watching him intently. They stared at one another for a few minutes until the Wolf dashed into the forest just behind the others, disappearing into the forest where the creaking of the living tree was moaning.

Drugo came out of the forest with his horse. The horse was hustling forward trying to get past all the vines and brambles that came up. The horse slowed down and trotted toward Kaelmourn. "So...a treant.", Drugo said as he sighed.

"I have ears" oirendial said panting " but this is not a sound i've heard before. Why are there treants here? i didn't know they lived in the forests here." Oirendial was truely suprised by this news. In the forest she lived she had never seen a treant. In fact, she had never seen a treant at all.

Kaelmourn took a few moments to catch his breath, straightening himself back up and looking to Oirendial, "You but need a forest to have a treant. They don't enjoy trespassers on their territory." He moved closer and looked them both over carefully. "Are either of you hurt?" He asked, though continued searching for wounds regardless of their answer. His eyes were careful and precise, even bruises wouldn't go by unnoticed.

"Might've bumped into a branch on the way, but i'm fine, don't know about him though" she nodded to Drugo "Does he do this often? " she said with a minor hint of disgust in her voice. "And don't forget, if i'm hurt, i can heal myself. Or you for that matter, should it be needed.

Kaelmourn sighed, "You're both alright, good. Let's stay out of that forest for the rest of our trip. We'll be leaving by day-break so rest up." Kaelmourn said as he began walking back to camp, his mind either getting over the incident with the Dinosaur, or having just forgotten it altogether. Given the long life-spans of Elves the latter did not seem likely, though his talk with Oirendial perhaps helped ease his mind as short as the conversation was. Kaelmourn found his rock again and drew his bow, silently confirming his task to take the first shift for watch.

"Yea i'm fine. Will he be ok by daybreak?" Drugo still seemed sluggish and slow, not at all in a state to travel and maybe even fight. Oirendial then looked aat the bow Kaelmourn had just drawn. It was a very fine piece of craftsmanship, but nonetheless it seemed just a bow, thinking her options over Oirendial decided "If you can miss that bow for about an hour tomorrow, i can improve it for you, you know.. magic and all."

Kaelmourn nodded slowly, "You may." He said simply, eyes watching through the darkness for any signs of would-be attackers. He was content to find none for the most part while he watched over everyone. It would be a long night, he hoped it would go well. He knew that Drugo would perhaps be hungover in the morning but otherwise fine, but his goal was to find the target that he had to run from, to make sure he knew that it was something he could do, something that was possible. He was not beneath nature and he could prove such tomorrow. The Ranger sat there for a few hours, thinking on the task at hand and how he would work not to fail this time. He couldn't fail again, he just couldn't...
