The band has gotten ready for meeting up with Kaelmorn's "friend". We are all getting ready for something, but Kaelmourn and Drugo are unwilling to give more details. Sentar is feeling slightly uneasy that he may become part of a crime. The slave is following the group silently barely able to keep up with us. Sentar is having trouble reading Oirendial's face, but he thinks that she won't put up with any unnecessary violence. Well today it is about to rain and lets see where this path leads the adventurers.

Oirendial had tried to get some more information out of Kaelmourn, but he had kept quiet on who this friend was or what they were gonna do with him so she let it rest. She could now se the druid had been right, it would be a day of heavy rain. She didn't like the fact that he had seen it before she had. But that was no matter now. Travel was upon them, with all it's challenges and dangers. Collecting her calm she went over all her gear again. When she was satisfied everything was in order she leaned on her quarterstaff. "We should get to moving soon, don't want to waste the light, it won't last long anyway. On the plains water is welcome, but we will grow cold soon. If any of you even feel cold" The last part was meant as a question, but the more she tought of it the more it became a real question, she knew nothing of the dark elves homeworld, had it been volcanic or an iceland? And as for as the druid goes, she was pretty sure he was pretty adaptable to anything.

Drugo's horse slowed down to a trot to settle pace with the others. The rain got heavy to where Drugo's hair started to soak. He then reached into his bag and pulled out his helmet. The helmet was kind of bowl shaped (a typical samurai helmet) with a large V on it and was padded to protect the head from cranial damage. Drugo then took the mask off the helmet and into the horse's bag. Drugo then looked over at Oirendial and said, "Just like humans and elves, we can still die of the cold."

"What was your homeland like? Kaelmoutn avoids the subject at all costs. Was your land one of woods? fires? water or desert maybe?" Drugo seemed more open to questions about his homeland. She might gain some insight into his history by asking him. But seeing him on his horse, in full battle gear, Oirendial now truely realized for the first time how majestic this warrior truely was. "We're either you or Kaelmourn nobility in your homeland? And why did you leave in the first place?"

Drugo tried to relax so that he could recall more of his life. He had totally forgotten his life in the underdark, something he didn't want to go back to because he wasn't a noble, as so many treated him like filth. "The homeland was an underground place. Hidden from surface eyes. It's like a paradise for those who dislike the sun. Some call it fiction, and it could be, since its ruins don't exist anymore. I assume orcs live in it now." Drugo said with a twitchy smile, "I wasn't a noble, and because of it I had to work harder as lower class. Unlike noble class, Kaelmourn broke some tradition and took me in as one of his gaurds because of my skill in the battle against the orcs. It was that same time a human noble from the surface had secretly taught me the traditions of a warrior that uses cunning and deft abilities. His life was taken as a test against my abilities. In return I would be in replace of him as the new dark samurai. I never told Kaelmourn the whole thing. After the destruction of our homeland I researched more about them, the legionnaires were only expanding their borders and looking for gold mines, but at the same time they also messed with a large group of orcs who then went on a hellbent rage and destroyed them all. At that time Kaelmourn lost his noble family, and I lost those of my friends I made during the orc war.", Drugo then looked away and off into the distance where e could see the sun through the dark clouds, "I forgave everyone only for the sake of my sanity. I did not want to turn towards the way of the darkness, because in there, your sanity and life belongs to them."
Drugo felt a little more glad to be open. To be able to talk about his past. Because if he didn't he probably would have forgotten who he really was. He wasn't a typical backstabbing drow, he was one who saw what happened to people who lost their sanity and eventually what's left of their life.

Oirendial Took in this information that was so diferent from what she had expected. She had assumed both Kaelmourn and Drugo had been nobility on some sort of exploration when their land was attacked. To learn Drugo's story filled her with sadness. Though so different it was allso very alike. Both had started with a loss in their life, she had been blind and Drugo had been poor. They then , through own ability or sheer luck gained what they wanted. Only to lose it again later. "The insanity you speak of, I've lived it for some years. They were my darkest time and were it not for this" she lifted her shirt to show a scar that ran from her stomach over her side and well onto her back, a scar made by teeth tearing at her flesh "I would've still been in there. You are a strong man to choose forgiveness over the hate that drives us insane. You have my respect" "My mother had songs for times like those, she had songs for every occasion. Whatever you felt, however dark your thoughts, she would sing and bring you back to the light."

Sentar listening to their stories only confirmed the cruelty and the hatred that city dwellers experienced. The forest was truly a much more peaceful place. Sentar had grown up among other druids. He doubts that these people could imagine the power and the peace that his grove had. There no one wanted for food, for an elder of the forest could easily coax out fruit from a tree. The animals there respected the forest dwellers, Sentar had played with human and animal young alike. He had even ridden on the shoulders of Ents once when he got lost in the forest as a child, they had returned him to his parents. If only these two could have experienced such lives. Sentar also had many scars but none of them held as much negativity as Oirendial's.

The rain felt heavy as it did strong and brisk. The drops were hitting the helmet, making loud clinking noises. Drugo felt best to lean the helmet forward. It was an interesting walk. They were now out of the forest and into the plains. They were now east of the forest and closer to the mountains in the small valley of forest and plains. There was lightning, the flash making Drugo's features more scary. The horse neighed, and Drugo leaned forward and patted it to make it less nervous in the rainy stormy condition. At the same time to pet the horse, he looked out and saw that he wasn't far from Kaelmourn's position.

The storm didn't affect Oirendial as much as she had feared. She welcomed the rain, allowing it to wash out all thoughts in her mind. Now she was truely focused. She ran for a bit up to Drugo, who seemed a fearrsome figure in the darkness of the storm, occasionally lit from behind by a bolt of lightning. Even though she had the elven sight, she reasoned that Drugo, who had ground up underground, was better adapted to darkness and could see better then she could in the storm. In the distance she saw a dark figure in the storm. His slhouette looked like Kaelmourn, but she wasn't taking any chances and pulled out her bow.

Drugo looked back and yelled, "Don't! It's Kaelmourn, lets catch up." After that Drugo whipped the rein and the horse quickened it's pace. Kaelmourn was going at a jog, an easy pace to catch up to.

Oirendial leaned over, braced her feet for about half a second, then started sprinting. The physical tension in her muscles was something she had missed. The last day had been casting and walking, nothing physically intensive. Her hair flowed behind her, catching the stormy winds. She knew she could never outrun a horse, but that didn't keep her from trying. Perhaps if she could catch him off guard, the distance was short, maybe she could reach Kaelmourn before the horse reached it's full speed

(right after the mumbo jumbo) It was after the battle with the scorpion and the triceratops confrontation, Drugo got off his horse and laid next to the tree. The rain had stopped and Drugo took his helmet off as well as his armored gloves. The air was cool and relaxing. He felt relaxed after his close up battle with a scorpion. If the new recruit hadn't fought with him he could have died right off his horse. He took a big sigh before looking up at the group.

Sentar was sad to part with this party but this rain would provide a good opportunity for him to part. Not long after the downpour started Sentar said "farewell", though none of them could hear that over the rain as Sentar strode off to the east.

Kaelmourn seemed quiet and withdrawn after the incident the dinosaur, he didn't talk and he didn't seem to eat. He slumped against a tree that was still moist with the rain earlier and brooded in dark silence. He wasn't used to failure, not like this. It shouldn't have happened like this, it couldn't have but yet..it did. His mind went over it all but he couldn't wrap his head around the idea that they failed so miserably. It was as if one hand of fate made it destined for them to have calmed the beast, to pass it without harm. But another, more powerful destiny deemed it impossible, at least that time. Yes that was the secret, it was only that time, he would come back for the beast again. It wasn't about safe passage this time, it was about defying fate and creating his own path.
The Ranger got up and drew his bow, narrowing his eyes on a nearby tree even as the sun had began to set over the horizon. The tell-tale whistle of arrows filled the air once, twice, three times as he practiced on the object. He needed to release his frustration, and words were not something he used in such tasks normally. He needed to get his mind off of his failure so that he could focus on the raid at hand. It would be soon, he needed to stay focused.

Drugo was feeling gloomy. He had almost died in the underdark, and now he almost died right off his horse. He slumped his head and grabbed the helmet. He spun the helmet around a couple of times, looking at it's designs...and eventually his own reflection. He saw new scars, some that traveled towards his chest and over onto the armor he wore. His eyes were glassy with a yellow hue. He couldn't tell if it was from the drops that dripped over him or if it was his own tears. 'I've got to man up', he thought to himself, 'You've got to take the pain!' His rage was increasing to the point where he was clutching his helmet a little too hard. Then he started slowly yelling with rage to where he was screaming in anger, he then threw his helmet as hard as he could towards his horse. Luckily, the helmet missed the horse and only landed a few feet from it. It was like he could feel that he was turning against himself. He got up then fell forwards knees in the wet grass and hands in the mud. There, he saw himself in the puddle, someone he never saw himself as. He lowered his head and tears streamed down his face. Death was knocking on his door, he answered and no one was there.
Self pity and guilt. That was all Drugo felt.
