Claus entered the main gate unchallenged when he showed the sentries the ring with the official seal of the Band of the Hawk given by none other than Vice Commander Aegis. Along with the ring, he was given the details on how to access one of the many secret rooms. "Good thing he had the foresight to outfit one for smithying for when someone like me comes along," Claus mumbled to himself. He was also handed a list of things to do. "List of things, he say. Bah! Referring to my works of art as 'things'. Well, let me see...adamantine weapons - a lance, an oversized bastard sword. Hmm...time to challenge myself. I will do all these in a week. If I can't, I will not drink my favorite cider ale for a week."
Once inside the secret room, he offered his prayers to his god Linium and cast a few divine spells. "I will start with the easiest one - the lance." After four days of sweat and toil, he found himself admiring the adamantine Lance. On the vamplate, one can easily see the symbol of a golden light hammer placed over a scarlet shaped like a spider. Zooming in on the emblem, you can see the dwarven script filigreed in mithril silver that read "Santa Claus".

Claus stared at his calendar. "Bah. I have three days left to finish that oversized bastard sword, and now I have an earthbreaker to contend with. Not that I'm complaining. Best make full use of the remaining 3 days to finish 'em."
Three days later...
"I can't believe it! I managed to finish 'em all! Where's me cider ale?"

After Kerzer finished writing his response to Aegis he began writing another letter to an armorer that he had heard recently arrived in the capital. He wasn't aware of the man's name, but he knew that he was great at crafting and could produce items of masterwork quality.
Armorer
Good sir, I am sending you this message in hopes that you could craft me a piece of armor. I am a scout for the Hawks and have been gone from our capital for four weeks now. I will be gone for at the very least two more and when I get back I was hoping to have this armor ready and waiting for me. If you could please crafting me an Breastplate that I could move quickly in made from our finest Mithral that would be amazing. Thank you for taking your time out of your busy schedule to read this letter and possibly make me this armor.
Sincerely, Kerzer
As Kerzer finished writing this he rolled it up tight and stuck it to the foot of his messenger bird and sent it off back to the capital of the Hawks.
(Order for 1 Mithral Masterwork Agile Breastplate)

(A boy runs in with a message directed to the master of the forge)
It is with great joy that I would announce that the Noble House of Jeggare from this point on will only request our arms and armament from one Forge master Claus and his forge house. We hope that we will continue to be a grand patron of your arts.

After Claus finished reading Kerzer's letter, he sat down and hastily wrote a reply.
To Kerzer,
I have heard of yer scouting exploits and would love to see ye wearing me armor during those dangerous mission of yers. I have seen an armor similar to what ye be describing and I would love to start work on that - as soon as me finish with the armor fer a savage orc barbarian who has muscles fer brains [or so I've heard] and barding fer a dinosaur. Ye'll get yer armor after them.
As Claus finished writing this he sealed the message and passed it to the waiting errand boy. The lad ran down the hall and to the aviary. Once he found the message hawk, he rolled the message up tight and stuck it to the foot of the bird and sent it off back to Kerzer.

The boy ran back to Claus. "What is it this time?" the dwarf smith hollered. "It is a message from Sven of the noble house of Jeggare." After hearing the errand boy's announcement, the dwarven smith blushed with the praise he heard. "Ho, ho, ho. That Salzhammer guy is not too shabby. Tell him it might be too soon fer me to handle big volume orders. If he would patiently wait fer me, as soon as I'm able I shall be honored to have him as me patron."

There is news within the inner circle that another crafter of great skill has joined the faction, one who specializes in making sturdy armors of special alloys. They have not seen the smith yet. What a pleasant surprise they would find if they learn that the smith is a young, petite lady whose beauty and grace fits more in a palace rather than in a smithy. An errand boy have seen her work, and this is his account:
"When the order came to make mithral weapons and armors, Claus handled the weapons and the armor was done by the mysterious smith. As I have already seen the master dwarf smith work with creativity and startling speed, I got curious how the lady smith did it. She seemed to be directing someone - an invisible person does most of the dirty work. With the flick of her wrist, she moves the light stuff around and the unseen servant takes care of the heavy stuff. From time to time, I swore I saw a toad help her with crafting the armor. Magic is definitely the young lady's assistant in her works and it makes all sense."

Claus have heard of the Lady of Mysteries' way of the forge. He approached her to inquire as a fellow craftsman filled with curiousity. "Milady, I would love to trade secrets with ye in the art of the forge. As ye know, dwarves are no stranger to mithral and adamantine, and yours truly might still have something to offer yer grace that ye may perfect yer craft. I look forward to learning from ye as well."

Kerzer grabbed the letter from the bird that was fluttering down towards him and quickly read over it and started to write another.
Sir Klaus
Thank you for creating me this piece of armor. I shall return to the capital with haste and wait for the wondrous creation of yours when I get there.
Sincerely Kerzer

Claus read the missive handed to him by the little errand boy. He quickly read it over and then wrote a reply.
To Kerzer,
First off, me name is spelled with a C, not a K. I'll overlook this, but only this once. I am aware that I'm still working on making my name Santa Claus as a household product, if ye know what I mean. Ho, ho, ho. Aye, come back with haste and patiently wait for your armor. Ye'll find that patience indeed has it's own marvelous rewards. I shall forge ye one made of the finest mithral, and I shall design yer armor in such a way that it'll be so light and ye'll be able to freely move in it so much ye'll ferget that ye're wearing one.
Safe travels,
Santa Claus

"Why certainly Claus. I would love to share my secrets in crafting." Ewanko moved gracefully towards the smithy. You would never imagine that such a fragile litle girl would be able to make armors, much less one of excellent craftmanship. She mumbled a few unintelligible words and drew strange patterns in the air. It seems nothing happened, but one can see that the furnace has now roared to life, and an invisible servant started to fetch some valuable mithral for smelting, fed it to the blazing inferno and once it is malleable enough, a hammer floated in the air and started pounding on the precious metal. With a wave of her hand, two crystalline glasses filled with ambrosia moved towards her. She offered one of the drink to Claus. "You see, it is no secret that magic is my avenue to a beautifully crafted piece of armor."

Claus stood dumbfounded at Ewanko. He found her amazing ability to merge magic and skill in order to produce high-quality armor intriguing. He saw one of her already made armors, of mithral make and blushed at his brazen offer to teach her about armormaking. "Pardon me brashness milady. It seems I have none to teach ye about armormaking. This armor is made extremely well, and I am pretty sure it can withstand many a mighty blow despite it's lightness. Still, my offer stands for other types of craft, like weaponsmithing and jewelcraft, unless ye are of greater skill in such and it ends up me begging fer ye to teach me instead."

"You are too modest o great Claus. You do not know how much you acknowledging me as your peer means to me. I know I still have much to learn, and I would love to learn more about armor making with you. I know none of forging weapons of war and of making jewels. My time has been devoted to making armor. I will definitely take you on your offer to teach me the ways of the forge. You see, I'm quick to learn and adapt it to my style of crafting."
"You sure you don't want some of this ambrosia? My arms are already aching, waiting for you to take it."

"Where are me manners?" He politely refused the offered ambrosia. "Pardon me milady, I was so engrossed with the armor ye wrought, i have been oblivious of me surroundings. Ambrosia does not sit well with me. If ye have cider ale, that would be nice."
"And I'm glad I have something to share ye in crafting weapons and jewelry. Mayhaps in the near future, ye can help me build my automatons?"

Ewanko's eyes shone bright like a diamond at the mention of automatons. It is her lifelong dream to make golems that the whole realm of Calidor shall acknowledge.
She quickly regained her composure and feigned having only mild interest in making automatons. "Indeed, making clockwork items are a matter of curiosity for me. I would love to help you make these toys."
