Kaelmourn thought on this for a few moments and frowned underneath his hood. He paused for a moment before making another precise alteration to the wheel. His mind processed that for a few moments and he continued. "There's ways to fool Paladins, and it's easier if the taint is accepted. Deals, pacts, blood, even your name." The thought was troubling and he didn't need undue interruptions and complications to his trip because she might not fully understand what she was into.

Melda raised her head up and looked at Kaelmourn, narrowing her eyes, her blood boiling as her anger was close to bursting. Luckily, she was able to calm herself down, taking in a few deep breaths and remaining quiet for a few minutes. She lowered her hands, closed her eyes and then relaxed her muscles. When she was ready to continue their discussion, she opened them up once more and looked towards the ocean, taking in the peaceful breeze and waves that went on and on.
"I know better than to bargain with demons. I know not if my name is somehow connected, though. As for my blood, I know all the members of our family, proudly bear the blood of a Golden Dragon. We never had contacts with demons."

Olath Su'aco pushed her ears down and began to growl at Melda as her temper grew, something easy for a creature as sensitive as a wolf to detect in people. Kaelmourn either didn't notice or didn't care as he kept himself staring straight ahead towards the very gradually approaching land-mass in the distance. The night was enjoyably dark and Kaelmourn took full advantage of his thermographic vision.
"Then a demon has your name, and if they have your name they have power over you in some cases." It was a rather matter-of-fact statement, like putting two numbers together to make their combining sum, because that was essentially how the Drow treated it. Assuming what she said was true, it was really the only possibility. As Melda calmed down, too did Su'aco, though the wolf kept a weary eye on her.

Melda took a moment's pause to think. Think how to resolve this problem. If what Kaelmourn said was indeed true, then someone was interfering with her without her knowing who it is or what he or she wants. Being controlled by someone else is a thing that Melda would never accept. As a few minutes of silence passed, and the dark mantle of the night had fallen, Melda turned around to face Kaelmourn and, with an apologetic tone, said.
"I am sorry. I am speaking truthfully when I say that I cannot control myself sometimes. If by any chance, any chance at all, you can help me with my problem, I would be in debt to you. If you know how to find this demon that has my name, or how to contact it. Or, anything relevant, really...I will really owe you one."

"Perhaps. I hold a few contacts who may be capable of assisting us with such a search. Demons are simple but powerful creatures, they are restricted to laws and codes of their reality that prevents them the free-will that we possess in all but the most extreme cases." Olath Su'aco seemed to relax more now, curling herself up at Kaelmourn's feet while he adjusted and steered the ship along its course. The occasional crash of waves would be all the sound that would accompany them for some time.
"All magic from these creatures comes at a price. It may not be the price it seems, but it's always paid. Remember that."

"I want to see get in contact with those uhm...contacts of yours. Maybe they can help me." Said Melda with an eager look in her eyes, as she stepped a bit closer to Kaelmourn. She looked down at the wolf at his feet, cringing a bit before looking back up to him, keeping a distance from the weapon-on-four.
"I do not have much to offer to you, but whatever you need from me in the long run, I will try my best to provide. You already have my aid in whatever goal it is you have in your mind currently, but I doubt that is enough for such information, is it?"

Kaelmourn thought on that for a few moments, there were many ways to exploit such an offer, such a need for answers. She was desperate, but he needed someone like her in the long-run. If he were to abuse her need for answers, she would turn away from him the first chance she got. His mind wrapped itself around its idea for a few seconds before he responded.
"You fight well, and hold a keen strategy that works alongside our own. I would hope you would stay, your potential seems wasted otherwise. I will not force anything, though. We will head to meet my contact when such is possible. For now get some rest for the day ahead of us."

Melda nodded a few times, a subtle smiling appearing on her face as she was given some hope, despite her knowing that it would come back to bite her in the butt one day. Maybe she didn't care. Maybe she was too satisfied by what happens now and not what would happen in the future. Despite all that, she just accepted that she was the closest she had ever gotten to finding her answers before taking a few steps backwards, bowing her head politely and then saying.
"Thank you. It means a lot to me that you are willing to help me. You won't regret it, that I can assure you. Have a pleasant night."
And with that, she turned away from Kaelmourn, heading towards Wyatt, feeling that she should check up on him before she goes down to get some rest.

Wyatt had been diligently cutting away at the shark skins being very careful not to let any go to waste .kaelmourn's words still weighed on his mind.Wyatt knew kaelmourn was right, that the death of comrades was an inevitability especially for pirates.Wyatt felt something rub against his leg ,he looked around to see legacy the panther he had adopted .She had grown quite large in the time they had been together keeping her instincts sharp by hunting down rats aboard the ship but the smell of all the fresh fish drew her to the deck.
"well we can't save everyone but we can dam well try right?" wait said to the jet black cat.
legacy gave a purr in agreement.

Melda slowly, and carefuly, approached Wyatt, noticing yet another wild animal onboard and feeling a bit uneasy due to its presence. Regardless, she took a deep breath, then walked closer to Wyatt, waving at him with her right hand and trying to smile as best she could to hide her nervousness.
"Hey there. How's the skinning going?" Asked Melda in a calm tone and looked at the sharks, left eye twitching slightly.

Wyatt turns around hands covered in blood and guts, looks at melda who is obviously uncomfortable ,Legacy turns to look at her as well an just stares at her,not in an aggressive way but more of a curious manner.
"well I'm a lot more used to skinning things with fur but it's going good, are you ok?you seem a little anxious?"

"Well..." Said Melda and looked at the small black feline creature, clearing her throat. Her eyes went from Wyatt back to it, then repeated the same thing for a few seconds. "There is a furry thing over there taking a bite out of your fish..." She hesitated as she spoke those last words, not knowing if Wyatt had a thing for cats too. Kaelmourn with dogs...Wyatt with cats...This could get ugly real quick. Regardless, Melda shook the thoughts off her mind and then looked at Wyatt and waved her right hand at him. "Nevermind. I just wanted to see if you were feeling any better. You know, didn't want to isolate you, or make you think that I didn't care how you were doing."

"thanks Mel,yeah I realised you guys were right just sitting around being sad isn't going to bring anyone back"
Wyatt smiles and looks back to the feline eating at one of the already skinned sharks "oh that's just legacy, don't worry about her she's a sweet heart"
Legacy looks up at the mention of her name but then goes back to eating once she realizes she wasn't called.

Melda waved at the little panther-cat-thingy as it raised it's head up, trying to be nice and all. "Oh...Hello...Legacy..." She then chuckled nervously before returning her attention to Wyatt. "Sweetheart...Right...So, don't you think you should get some rest? It's getting late. I am planning to go sleep soon in order to be ready for what fate has in store for us for tomorrow. You know, being prepared and all." Melda said and nodded firmly, her left eye now twitching once more a few times, as the sound of Legacy munching on dead fish made her want to cringe.
