A few hours after "Dreams of a Past Long Forgotton"
The forests were something Kaelmourn was well accustomed to. He knew how to traverse through them at regular rates where others would get stuck in brambles and bushes. Thus when the forest became thinner and he soon found himself not walking amongst the trees he was used to but rather the large open expanse of a plain the Drow stopped. He surveyed the area, noting the hills to the south of them which went up just enough that he couldn't see anything beyond them which included the forest that the Elven Witch had talked about. The Drow took a quick glance up at the glaringly bright sun for just a second and made the hypothesis that it was but a few minutes from noon. Kaelmourn walked back into the forest partially, enough to get shade from the sun and sat down while he waited for the rest of his..."party." Or at least whoever had decided to follow him from the camp, he hadn't stopped the entire way though he had gone a bit slower than he was used to so the others could keep up. The Druid would have no issue doing so, and neither would Wyatt, but his bodyguard and the Elven Witch would probably have difficulty with the terrain.

HAving lived half her life in the woods, mostly up in the trees to stay hidden, Oirendial could match the speed of a monkey moving through the trees. But stil the dark elf moved faster and soon she fell a ways behind. It took her a minute or so to catch up with him and she saw him sit at the edge of the forest. She wondered if it would be possible to kill him with an arrow through the neck and get away with his money before the others arrived. She knew it would be impossible, but still she liked to imagine it. She had no idea why she felt so strong about him. Sometimes intrigued and curious, sometimes hatred and fear, sometimes...something else, but always strong feelings. She shrugged it off as him being the first elf she met after her mother so she projected all the feelings of her past onto him. " how long will you wait for them? or is there no timer this time?" She tried to make it sound like she was anoyed, which was true to some extent. She had never been fond of rules that restricted her, and her life alone in the forest had been as free as possible. Though she could not help but be impressed by the pure leadership in his character

While the breeze had blown through the trees, Drugo's form moved out of the shadow of the trees in a slow mellow pace revealing himself to Kaelmourn and the elf lady. "He doesn't have to wait. However, he can go faster than this, therefore it is safe to assume that he is generous to let the others catch up.", Drugo said calmly without trying to stir alarm. Drugo then pulled his hair up revealing his pointy ears and made a ponytail, and walked into the sunlight revealing the dark obsidian color of his skin. He then gave a generous smile.

Kaelmourn simply pointed towards the sun that was high in the middle of the sky and relaxed fully against his tree. While he waited for the others to arrive he detached a pouch from his belt and opened it up. Inside were various berries, herbs and even a couple small fruit. He had found them on the trail and picked them as he went along, popping one berry into his dark featureless hood to chew on it. He did this a few more times, eating at the fruits and berries and simply sitting there. His message was hopefully clear enough to the rest of the group that it was time for lunch, and a short break. The Ranger's mind wandered some to his adventure thus far, and how he had come to at least be a little comfortable with his traveling group. He grabbed an apple in-hand and took a deep bite out of it, enjoying the crisp flavor. He knew what vegetation was edible and what was poisonous, perks of specializing in such survival.

Oirendial too took her pouch with berries and leaves. But before eatning, she waved her hands above the bag in na intricate pattern. As she ate she looked down at the samurai who now turned out to be a dark elf too. she wondered if she should reveal her half elf nature. But she decided to keep it a secret for now. "WHat is your tory Drugo? the same is KAelmourn i presume?"

Drugo looked up, smiled, and said, "Me and Kaelmourn's background history parallel to some extent." He tried to be as friendly as he could, for it wasn't in his nature to be aggressive or dangerous. For a humanoid chick, Drugo could notice her predominant elven features on her face as he looked at her carefully. It took Drugo by surprise as he had never seen a half-elf before. However, he had seen humans and elves but never seen both features in one. He tried to hide back his surprise by looking down and fiddling with his hands.

Kaelmourn finished eating his apple and tossed the mostly finished core away for the insects to feast upon. He took note of how much food he had left before closing the pouch and reattaching it to his belt. The Ranger reached a hand into his pack and produced one of the many sticks he had collected along his journey and produced his short-sword. The sharp-edge of his blade pressed against the stick's surface at an almost horizontal angle and dug into the outer-skin of the once branch.
He carved at it for a while, working and working as it began to take shape as an arrow, albeit with a blunted tip. Once most of the work was done he began to make notched spaces in the back of it. The Drow just sat silently while he did this, his mind thinking of the various things they would need to do in order to survive their long journey back. Eventually he would bring a few black feathers from a bag on his hip and some string and began to prepare its fletching.

Oirendial sat eating slowly, savoring each bite of the berries. Soon they would be out in wasteland and desert, and she would have to dine on wwhatever she could find or fall back on her rations, and she much rather keep those safe. She looked intently at the samurai, who seemed unsure of what to say. Seeing as how he is only the second one of those dark elves she met, she was confused. She had grown somewhat accustomed to the rigorous dark elf Kaelmourn and had the entire race down as rigid, unwavering and raw. Now this one seemed at a loss for words, even though he spoke with a silver tongue when he did speak. "What is it Drugo, that makes you unsure? If we are to travel and fight together, i need to know that you will not be this trembling in battle.'

Drugo stopped what he was doing and then looked up at her. He then calmly said, "You're a half elf, aren't you?" He then giggled and said, "Even if you hide the ears, any kind of elf can still see the facial features. The most prominent features of any elven women. Your eyes, chin, brow, and lips." Drugo then pulled out his small bag and pulled out some grapes and started picking pieces of grapes and putting it into his mouth.

As the others sat waiting Sentar came from up the trail enjoying a steaming bowl of stew and carrying a full gut presumably with more. "oh there you guys are, I had expected you to move a bit quicker than this. I got off the path a bit I saw a trail of beautiful mushrooms. mmm Mushrooms." Sentar held up another steaming bowl towards Drugo, "This bowl has a nice kick and it's pretty light so it won't cause cramps." Sentar stood up and slurped up the last of his stew. Wiping his mouth he says "well I'm all rested up lets keep going."

Oirendial looked t the druid, of all the party, he was the one she trusted less. He seemed obsessed with the forest, and she thought he wouldn't think twice to kill her if it seemed better for the land or whatever grows on it. She thought to herself it would be a good idea to not step on any beetles near him, a sligth chuckle escaped her lips as she thought that. Then she turned her attention to Drugo. "Yes I am, my mother was an elven woman, my father was a human. Both are now dead." Not quite sure why she added the latter, although she thought Kaelmourn already new it from the talk the day before, so why not tell everyone.

Drugo took the bowl and thanked sentar. "Think about having your whole race killed before your eyes. I didn't just lose my parents, but everyone I was close to were slaughtered by a brigade of humans. It may have been a heavier toll on Kaelmourn, but it still had a deep impact on me.", Drugo replied bitterly. He then looked down and a tear rolled down his cheek. He took a spoon full of stew and ate it, luckily the stew was starting to make him feel a lot more better. He then looked at her again and calmly said, "I had to live out on my own. I should have stayed in the underdark, if it were really my fate to be a great warrior then I could have prevented the destruction from happening."

Kaelmourn remained sitting, finishing up the first arrow before setting it down and producing another stick. He didn't pay the druid any attention and just remained sitting there carving. He was done eating, but he didn't look like he was moving anytime soon. His blade slid across the stick and carved along its skin until the tannish-white wood beneath it, then turning it over and repeated the action.
"We're camping here until tomorrow. I need to make more arrows, you and the Witch need to work with your magics. You're hurt, I'm hurt, Wyatt is hurt. Work on that today. Drugo set up a perimeter." He focused back on his whittling, eyes focused on the work to make sure the make-shift arrows would be functional. His blade finished cleaning the outside and began to round out the edges of the tip so it became a half-sphere blunt-end.

"You and i are not so different, maybe in the future i shall share my story" Tears welled up in Oirendials eyes, both from the pain she sees in Drugo as well as the pain from memories. "Let's just say, even though the world survived, my world did not." She looked out to the plains, trying to find solace in the peace of the land. It worked somewhat, the morning sun, lighting up the sand of the plains was a beautiful sight. "It's nice out" With that she packed her pouch again and got down from the trees.

From hearing what Kaelmourn assigned Drugo to do, he nodded and got up. He then replied to the half elf with "Very peaceful." It was hard for Drugo to admit, but he was starting to admire the half-elf. For what Kaelmourn had told him to do, Drugo then walked into the shadows where no one can see him. He started to walk about the area with one hand over the top of the sheath to be prepared if anything turns out wrong. His footsteps quiet as he slowly walked around in a large circle around Kaelmourn.
