Challenge accepted. Let's take a level 10 wizard, since that was the example level used. Level 1 Pearl of Power at an accelerated pace is DC27 and takes 4 hours. I challenge you to accept the evidence in front of you. This is a silly proposal. okay ill use the argument of someone whose on your side no ones level 10 ans so at level ten a wizard using a good amount a resources could get 270 exp a day my how game breaking

We have people in the game with over 20 to spellcrafting. It can be done now 270x7 and we start looking at 1610 NO RISK experience a week? Meanwhile to do that I have to get amazing luck or risk my life to get similar exp?
I had to take a 32 damage friendly fire to the face last week and spent 2 hero points to stop myself from bleeding out on the floor at -18 health. Meanwhile you can beat me in experience per week while you sit in a comfy chair in the capital?
No Risk EXP is BAD

hunterkiller725 as you well know you altered the post above my last one. It was a challenge to me to come up with a speedily craftable dc25+ item. Your lack both the integrity and the game design chops to be making proposals. Kindly don't bother.

How about a straight DC*3 Since DC for making the items are usually 10+level of spell+something else+blah blah... So say 15*3 is 45xp but you can make 100 of them in a week is 450xp
Same should be for scribe scroll... DC*3
Would be good for crafting other items as well DC*3 if others are helping then exp is split 50/50(spread out along however many assists)
It eliminates any complicated formula on getting more xp based on how high of a level you are. It is assumed that you will be working on more complicated higher difficulty items.
Just a thought.

The dc isnt calculated like that. For example Dc for crafting a wand is 5+CL. And the time it takes stops you from making 100 per week.

Some people may see it as no risk xp, however I see it as offering a service that would otherwise be unavailable. If I am stuck in the guild hall crafting weapons every week so that you guys can have access to better equipment for little compensation, while you are out adventuring and making XP, then why would anyone make magic items for anyone but themselves? Crafting is very time intensive, and for each day I spend making stuff that is opportunity lost for XP. So I am of the opinion that we should have some method of xp compensation for crafting. As to how much compensation, how about we just make it something static? I.E. each day spent crafting grants experience to 1/21st the xp to the next level. That way three weeks of dedicated crafting = 1 level no matter what level, and it shouldn't step on adventurer's toes because it is too much xp (that is level 20 in a little over a year though, I am unfamiliar with how fast you can level adventuring.)
