Characters gain power through crafting already. There has to be a trade off. I'm against this and I plan on doing a ton of crafting.

I think the problem right now Tara is the trade off is huge. I don't think anyone really wants me to go into crafting times again (god knows i've posted them enough already) but a full month of xp loss for a gain as small as full plate is not worth it.

so don't do it until the NPC rules are out.
I fail to see what's so enlightening, exciting and plot moving about banging out a set of full plate that the maker of it gains a bunch of powers through the experience.

Just because it isn't your fantasy Tarabull doesn't mean it can't be mine.

Right. So you fantasize about XP? Cause you can craft the armor as things are now. So the only thing you could be referring to is your fetishization of XP
Here, we'll play a new game together, I just invented it for you personally. It's called "here's a million XP for doing nothing." You win.

I don't understand why this was pushed to a vote other than the fact that several people are drooling over the idea of abusing it and getting over 10,000xp a week. This potential for abuse has been mentioned. Furthermore there is no option to NOT implement crafting xp. Honestly I'm disappointed that you are trying to push this through despite understanding it's ability to be abused.
Why give double the character growth from crafting than killing?

I dream of being a wizard running a shop of strange and fantastic items. I really have no idea why you feel the need to insult me or my fantasy.
Sentar: I'm not trying to push this through, I have never suggested this is even a good idea, I think when Hunter gets on again this pole will see a revision, quite frankly I am just trying to ensure that the failure of this system doesn't convince people there isn't a problem with crafting, I would also really enjoy not being insulted constantly, but that is entirely beyond my power so I will settle for the first.
Edit: I did mention a couple of post ago that by the example of the fireball of wand might be a fair amount but have since done the math.

Go become a crafter and make magical items, pay for a mercenary to kill a dragon in front of you and soak up the exp. Magical items and exp from the same source seems like crafters just want more love.

3000+xp though for 1 item is still huge
CL*(DC*15) + (CL * 100) 5(10*15) + (5*100) 5(150) + 500 750 +500 1250 xp
So DC 20 would be 1500+500=2000xp
Still might be a bit too high but you still have to have the materials

There is no monetary value creation from killing monsters at the moment, so why should crafting give exp and monetary value.

Because if you don't make crafting more than a massive time sink for minimal gain, its not going to get done.

Then propose the alternate crafting rules not push this through. So with the idea for how much exp to give changing in this thread, how much exp could you get with the current rule set a week. Keep in mind that the average 2-3 person party can only obtain 400-500 exp a week on average considering chance and exp gained per possible victory.

I am going to, tomorrow, its far too late for me to write 3 pages of revisions into a text box, especially when half the people I am interacting with seems hell bent on portraying me as an immoral monster.

No you are not a monster, you are a human who sees a good business opportunity. I don't blame you for that nor for your want for said business opportunity, but I want the general public to be aware of what they are voting on before they make uninformed decisions. If we have half the players as crafters then so be it this will become a game about crafting and I will have to adjust.
