We will still do one week worth of actions for the quests, which is always done on the last week.
The other three weeks will be for "downtime": researching spells, setting up shop, crafting, city-building (once you're of the required level [10 or 15] to build your own village), preparing for the quest (to get bonuses), gearing up, income generation, making investments, joining guilds. Most of these downtime activities are scheduled (so the first thing we need to let new players know is to check the scheduled activities in the forums) like joining certain guilds and the basic quests. This will help the newbies to participate immediately as we induct them into the game.

Three weeks of crafting can be worth more than one week of Adventuring. That's the biggest flaw I see, but otherwise a faster pace game might speed things up. In my opinion it should be play tested for a week or two then we vote.

In my opinion it should be play tested for a week or two then we vote. A playtest is always good. In my experience, crafting things wicked fast does not help if your funds cannot keep up with it. You would still need to balance things. This will also give other players who have not devoted their build to fast crafters time to have a masterwork armor ready for their quest.

Gotta remember that crafters paid a feat to be able to craft (I am talking about magic items).

Perhaps 1 week or adventuring and 2 weeks of downtime? (And make Calidor months be 3 weeks long, because hey, fantasy)

Perhaps 1 week or adventuring and 2 weeks of downtime? (And make Calidor months be 3 weeks long, because hey, fantasy) This can be viable. I wanna point out that during 1 week of adventuring, we can still actually scribe scrolls (if cost is less than 250 gp as it will only take 2 hours) and I think make potions (same logic as scribe scroll). It will also allow GMs to make special activities like the supposed halloween treat for Calidor that without messing the player's planned adventuring activities.

Idk how I feel about this, but I'll bring it up on the GM meeting this weekend.

Their could be quests during "down time" like my idea for the crafting contracts.
