So it's time to look at the leadership feat. Sooner rather then later we will have armies and that means it's finally time to have this talk. So here we have the entry for leadership. Please read the entry. paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/feats.htmlNow what we need to determine is what role followers and Cohorts can play in Calidor. Now the first option is none. We outlaw the feat and refund anyone who has taken it. The argument for this is that the followers are to hard to DM. However if we begin to have real armies then this is a moot point. The second option is running it by base palizo rules. The argument for this is that is that it is in the base rules. The argument against is that the cohorts are basically second characters you can level up and use if you die. That would be to many characters for the Dms to have to run. Third outlaw cohorts. This allows you to recruit follows to work or fight for you but makes the DM's lives easier. The last option on my mind is that Leadership gets a total overhaul and instead makes recruiting armies much easier to do. SO now that I have broken the ice lets have everyone thoughts. After two or three weeks of discussion we can decide to move on this.

the third and fourth ones would work best I think, in my "humble" opinion if you would call it that

I want to put leadership back in the game. I am currently working on a system that will work within Calidor. I would be hasty to say it is near finished. Once I am completed I will present it to other magistrates for their review before posting it to the general populace for review. I encourage all of you to do the same.
There are a few things I am looking for in a system that works with Calidor
No Cohorts More followers Increased cost Upgradable

It has already been under discussion by the GMs of you guys want to try and hash it out please include how these followers/cohorts are aquired and how they should level/not level and how many you think is fair. I mean we already have people with many units it can be a pain but very doable. I do t want this to not exist because of the load it will put on the GM.

If there is going to be Leadership I don't want anybody to be able to take a cohort. Like Aegis has already mentioned, cohorts are hard to GM and are basically just second characters. Also, they're are too many questions that come to mind when coming with a cohort. How did he get here? How do you know him? Why would he want to help you all of a sudden? These are all questions I would have hard time trying to answer from a story perspective. My last problem with cohorts is that by the time you can take the leadership feat you've already got a whole bunch of other players following you around. To be honest they're kinda like cohorts that the GMs don't have to worry about controlling.

Well that's the idea spade. I know you guys have been talking and i thought that maybe if we had some open talks it might generate an idea that would clear the pipeline so to speak.

Well can I make intelligent undead and then use leadership to make them followers?

Probably, although the way this discussion is going I don't think you'll be able to make one your cohort unfortunately. They'll be intelligent sure, but very underwhelming in terms of power (especially in comparison with what you already have under your control).

Well I don't want Cohorts, I mean just a few mummies or shades or things with paralyze or level drain.
