I propose that these www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/indexes-and-tables/encounter-tables should be usable under the appropriate circumstances such as while in a city a player may "adventure" as a 2 MP action and choose one of the city based encounters to roll for the same as one would while traveling so DC 20->40->60... ect

I think we should keep it a 1 mp because as wizzle stated 1mp basically represent 8 hrs and no PC can do any task for more than 8 hours.it will also allow crafters to craft and then try to get some experience.

well my main critic for your still stands I can't change my vote to yes if you continue to insist on give the player choice on what they find.Too much choice ruins the whole idea of this world

You didnt make that quite clear. At any rate, could you please post in the thread (so not to derail this one), and tell me what Exactly the problem is? The fact that there are CR brackets?

hmm I think we just talked about it in pms on roll20. Anyway yes its the fact that there are CR brackets because the way I see your table its a urban version of hunting so it should function similarly.

so, you mean that it should become pointless past lvl 4, unless you roll that select 1-2 encounters that actually give worthwhile xp?

by lvl 4 if your still hiding behind your city walls your not much of an adventurer not all of us are adventurers im an alchemist my goal in life is to make potions sometimes that means i have to leave the city to experiment but mostly im a city goer same as rouges and some other classes why do i get punished for playing the game in a different way it doesnt detract from you playing it just adds to me. i fought against having cr brackets because they arnt realistic but these ones are as close as there getting

Pathfinder isnt supposed to be realistic. In a normal PF game, a GM always tailors encounters to your CR. You just miraculously meet monsters that you are capable of beating if u fight well. And no one complains.
