(28 years ago. In the place where Yesad stands today.)
Cielo was quickening his pace down the street. The sun was going down and the three men would be meeting him in the center of the city. His cape and his hair moved like the sea as he went passed shops and bazaars that were now closing. As he walked he looked like a count to many people because of his noble looks. He had wooden armor, a cape, a trident, a bow, and everything was blue. People looked at him in awe seeing that he was the only man in town to have golden hair and blue eyes that glimmered like diamonds and sapphires. He slowed his pace as he soon reached his destination. It was only a matter when the three noble men of different talents would show up. While he was waiting he decided to pull out his journal and record what the city had looked like, the people he met, and the common attraction. Being sure to document things to ensure his knowledge was well up to date with the places he has been to. He was an inquisitor after all, so it was his job to know where people went and why.

Mahir had just arrived in town a couple of nights ago and had managed to stay pretty lowkey. He wasn't sure of what to do now that he was free and he wasn't even sure of anything we wanted to do. He had learned a few parlor tricks dealing with the arcane arts during his imprisonment but he had no real power to speak of.
All the same he just kept hearing one thing since he arrived into town. Tales of an evil that was plaguing the citizens in the night. He wasn't sure why but a part of him felt that he needed to do something about it. Whether it was because he felt the need to make a name for himself to feel something again, or because he wanted to face down something nastier than what he had dealt with for the last couple of decades was unclear even to him but one thing was for certain. He had to find a way to end the plague in this town or die trying.
So with nothing more than the robes on his back and his quarterstaff he stole when he escaped. A staff that seemed to call to him for the months before he had an oppurtunity to make a break he set off throughout the town as the sun set over the horizon. Patrolling the streets that even some of the guards were scared to walk down now looking for something he could not even comprehend.

The men showed up on time. The sun was showing half of itself beyond the horizon and Cielo believed this was the great time to go towards the spa and hot springs where the vampire was last spotted. The elder had said that the vampire liked to target the women in that area, so Cielo assumed in the vampire's past life it was a pimp or womanizer. The shadows of the buildings crept and the streets were getting dark. Cielo waved his hand ushering the three men to follow as he kept his long stride. He kept his hand up silently signaling a halt. They were within the range of the spa. He could see the lights still on as the people like to remain there until midnight. He waved his hand again and crept forward keeping his eye out. He felt it was necessary to take a turn into an alleyway, but before they do he said to them, "Backs against the wall, keep your eyes open, and make sure you stab it in the heart with a stake. If you become infected then I will have no choice but to stab you in the heart because the master vampire is miles from here and it will only take at least a day for your transformation into death." The men nodded slowly and they kept their backs against the wall. They slid against the wall while Cielo walked. They approached an intersection and turned where there was a road leading to the back of the spa. Cielo held a vile up and with the other hand pinching his nose, he released the scent of biological iron that the vampires get from the blood of their victims. If the vampire had already feasted then the vile would be useless but he decided since it was early that now would be a good time. Unlike him, other people would smell the scent of death, but to Cielo and the vampires it was a smell that was sweet and delicious.
