((Backdated Prior to the expedition teams departing))
Instructions to the logistics office: Please deliver to the Half-Orc Names Shievik if she is on roster.
To: Shievik
If you are the Shievik that once was called partner in crime and all dastardly things by a halfling please meet me behind the Inn when time suits you. It seems fate does not regard time as something worth noting. Be prepared for hard questions as you have some explaining to do if it is indeed you.

The same day Shievik receives the letter she makes a journey directly to the inn. Despite protests and dirty looks from people inside the city proper, Ieksha, her Hyena, dutifully follows by her side. The Half-Orc returns any threatening gesture in kind, and most people decide to look the other way. Her last time in this city was full of heartbreak, and back then she was a weaker woman. Now, fully grown and come to maturity, she walks tall and brave and without apology. But despite her poise her entire demeanor changes when she arrives at the inn. Instead of boldly going inside she skirts around its edge, going through the tiny walk way along the side of the building to its back. Was she looking for him, or hiding from him? If she was looking, how would she recognize him? Did she even want to find him?
If she did, what would she even say?
"Ass," She grumbles to herself, plopping down on a wooden box. Ieksha comes up behind her, circling a few times, before forcing her head into Shievik's palm for pets. Subconsciously the Half-Orc responds with the affection the animal was looking for, receiving a few rough-tongued licks as a reward.

Seemingly from nowhere yet everywhere a voice of a high pitched halfling rings out..
"Gawd... I was hoping you would have sagging tits or some messed up face and be all full of wrinkles and smell of dung... But NOOOO had to be some half-orc beauty thing-a-ma-bob... I thought witches were suppose to be ya know... nasty..."
The voice trails in and out as if the halfling is moving about the shadows and darker corners of the inns alleyway. Its obvious he picked the spot for just that purpose.
"So I see I was replaced by a dag? at least I think thats a dag? Or one of those laughing dags right? "
He seemingly gets lighter almost happy as he speaks... dropping the forced cold chill tone for a more warm fond tone. However he still hides in the shadows

At first the Half-Orc attempts to follow the voice, her neck twisting every which way to try and locate its source. After a few quips she gives up, sighing in a way that sounds less annoyed and more. . . almost fond. "Sorry to disappoint, half pint," Shievka chuckles lightly, leaning an elbow on her leg and resting her chin on the fist. "All bounce and no substance, as usual. I may have gotten breasts, but it doesn't seem like you have changed at all. And I'm not a witch. I am Druid." She smiles, that awkward half smirk that looks silly because of her protruding lower tusks. Upon hearing how his voice gets lighter the weigh on her chest, the pain in her heart, begins to dim slowly.
"This is Ieksha, my beloved." The Hyena snuffs slightly, still staring into each of the shadows trying to find the voice. "Why don't you come out and give her a pet? I bet she's dying to know where that smell is coming from."

"I already am..."
The voice comes directly behind Shievik and Ieksha all be it slightly below.
"Druid eh? those are like gypos? Or what? At least I became something respectable... dignified..."
He steps around her as she turns and if almost behind her again but this time on the other side.
"Ninja wins!"
Almost dancing in place he raises his hands in the air only to realize the hyena was not fooled and is staring at him.
"Thanks for ruining the moment... sorry for calling you a dag..."

Shievik laughs out loud at the Hyena practically glaring at him. "Calm, Ieshka, calm. It's a friend." She pats her behind a scarred ear a few more times before smiling and turning over to look at him direct. "She forgives you. Now... After all this time... why call on me now?" The woman's cheerful smile fades to serious, the tone in her voice dipping slightly.
"I thought you were gone forever. I thought I would never see you again." For a moment she folds the middle part of her lower lip into her mouth, between the tusks, and chews on it for a second. "I've been living in this land ever since you were taken away, and only now you choose to let me know you still live? Worse yet, that you're a little... shadow stepping assassin." For a moment she glares at him. "In your letter you said you had questions. Well I have questions too. So don't think you escape any blame yourself."

Taking a step back Del lowers his scarf revealing that little has changed for the young halfling. He might be a couple inches taller at best. He cmiles but looks as if several years of anger and hurt are battling for face time.
"You did'nt... how long did you wait? I thought you left... or died..."
He gets cartoonishly smirky and also pouts a tad its obviously a half assed attempt at bluffing.
"How was I suppose to know you went to play with the animals and hug trees?

The half-orc shrugs slightly. "I waited for word of your escape, that after you were arrested you broke out. That's how it always went, wasn't it? You'd get arrested every now and then, trying to feed us. And you would slip out like a little snake. I waited... And you didn't come back within a week. So I wandered the city, looking for word on your whereabouts. There were whispers of executions, how they were cracking down on the street rat population. Trying to thin our numbers..." Her striking grey eyes looked down from his face, side glancing at the sparse stonework that made up the little back area they sat in. Out of the way. Out of sight. "I convinced myself you were one of the fallen, and afraid for my own life I fled into the wilds..."
Here Shievik paused, chewed on her lip again. Her awkward fidgeting betrayed how badly she felt, and if that wasn't enough even her pointed ears seemed to be drooping like a concerned or guilty dog. "I was supposed to protect you and I failed." And then she looked up at him and scowled, the slightest hint of amusement playing on her brow. "And I'm not a tree hugger. There are barely any trees around here, moron."

He listens looking up at her as if trying to muster the willpower to remain angry and hurt but the overwhelming joy in seeing his childhood friend alive and well is getting the best of his spirit.
"Cactus hugger sounds too bad ass for you... so I figured palm trees or something..."
He reflects the same sadness for a moment of guilt as he adds
"It wasn't fair of me to assume you would have waited... It was not authorities that grabbed me after all. Though the situation was just as dangerous I suppose... I did not want to drag you into it... you were... are too nice.. Its good you found a better path..."
He steps up to the hyena engaging in a staring contest since they are at relative eye level. After a moment he goes to poke at it but falls short of the act.
"Want a treat? Or maybe a bath? "

The Hynea takes a playful nip at the Halfling's finger when he attempts a poke, grinning with her jagged teeth before laughing and bounding away behind the box. Shievik laughs a little. "Ieksha is never one for baths. Neither am I, really, but I suppose we both are due for one." The orcish woman looks over her shoulder and eyes her Companion, who furrows her furry brow and growls unpleasantly at the thought of a bath.
"Where do you make your bed now?" She asks in a light hearted tone. "With my coming back into the city to serve the Sultanate and Nature, I might as well attempt to become presentable. Perhaps you can teach me and rid me of my brutish ways?" She winks at him with one of her brightly shining grey eyes, smiling that awkward half smile.
