With the arrival of the Remorhaz near the city, the city has been buzzing with commotion. The guards attempting to keep the populace calm and assuring them that as long as they stay within the bounds of the city they will be safe.
Mahir walked through the streets, watching all this happen and seeing how truly unprepared the city currently was to deal with a threat so large. He sighed sadly to himself as he walked, seeing the panic and uncertainty all around him. He thought of his little brother Seren who while strong in his own right was not currently able to adequately defend himself in the face of such a threat.
As Mahir walked, considering what it was he should do he came across a building along side the street that seemed to have been abandoned. He walked up towards the door and looked around a bit. Peeking into the massive windows on the side and that was when the idea hit him. A school of magic was needed.
There currently wasn't anything set up in the city that taught arcane casters what they needed to know to survive and if there were to be one it would need to be run by a competant wizard like himself. Someone who knew the value of working hard to be good at his craft. While Sorcerors needed instruction and guidance as well it has alwasys been Mahir's experience that they were less likely to work at it since it came so naturally to them because of their bloodlines.
"This is what the city needs" *He said quietly as he stared in the window*
*He quickly jumped down off the step and started running towards home with a renewed vigor, excited to tell his brother what he had decided and hoping that Seren would help him if for no other reason than to give Seren a goal to work towards and allow him an oppurtunity to grow in his own rite.
