I was unable to find anything on rivers and roads in the Rules for the realm pdf. Can we sail on rivers? Do they work like natural roads but faster(like in real life) Can we use rivers to speed trade between places? I know its a lot but rivers are important to trade and war and my faction happens to really like them.
As to roads I head a lot of talk about them but they don't seem to be in the pdf. will they be added soon?

Yes rivers can be sailed. They take one 1 movement point and you need a boat. They can be used to trade but the GM said that you need to send a boat out to another faction (it is considered a party) and trade. So no automatic trade routes, at least not yet.
There is a v1.2 of the rulebook btw that talks about roads. Here is what it says:
Roads
Roads cost 10 gold per hex, per week in maintenance. With an initial cost of 100 gold per hex. They can be built concurrently with boats, structures or settlements. Roads reduce traveling time by 1 for each hex. Collection of Country Income Countries can only collect the income from hexes that are connected to the county's mainland or connected to your capital via roads. Trade routes Countries can only trade with other countries that are connect via roads, known as trade routes.

That's great but where did you find the V1.2 because a search of the pdf version found in the rules section of the forums here had no mention of roads or rivers.
