(characters who can join for now: Sarah Quinn, Sadris Colin and Constantine Ilfrey) Part 1: DaybreakAnother day of expedition. I have prepared myself for this, and Warden Constantine already made the arrangements and recruitments. The Warden looked rather upset for not being able to enlist Effigy in our current team, understandable because the Orc barbarian is quite important during land searches, especially with his prodigious strength. I think I heard he went on hunting quest alongside miss Anna Erica eastward. And since Effigy is not here, I have to work harder on our team defenses. After a while, one of our ranger Sarah and our resident alchemist Sadris came just in time. As I recall, we found gold source the last time Sarah join in our expedition, she has pretty good luck when it comes to land searches. And as for mister Sadris, I just hope he can control his bomb this time around. With the team assembled, I recite the spell to summon my eidolon armor, The Jaeger, before making the final calling shout. "Come forth Jaeger!" The black mist arrived along with pieces of the eidolon armor. The pieces combined and encased me within. We are finally ready to move, following Sarah's lead. Westward this time. (we're following our ranger Sarah, through the wilderness)

Because of our proximity with the capital Hammerstad, we can still spot some citizens wandering not far from the main road. However, as we walk further and further away and into the hills of Volkun valley the less we stumbled upon travelers, I cannot see the main road from up here any longer. The few travelers we met along the way spoke the same troubling things; bandits and marauders. Few days ago we are ambushed by a group of bandits and now yet another news of banditry. Though I'm not much of a law-abiding kind of person, the scope of lawlessness in Calidor really bothers me sometimes. The party decided to confirm this news, perhaps clean up the mess afterwards.

"These brigands are starting to get on my nerves. This is the second or third time we are forced to go out and deal with them. One day we will have to put an end to this. I will put a bounty on the head of their leader. We must cut the head of the snake, then the body will rot."
With staff in hand, Constantine, was following Sarah through the forest. His words were calm but his eyes were more steely than usual.

Upon hearing the news of yet another case of banditry from the people, the Warden looked more determined to root out these outlaws. Despite the many vacancies of various jobs and the opportunities for settlers our city had offered, there are still many people who prefer the easy way out through criminal activity. It's a shame they don't count being wiped out by us as part of their chosen profession. As we follow our ranger Sarah through the forested hills, I think she spotted a bandit camp up ahead, they don't get the jump on us. We readied our weapons and approach the bandit encampment. At the very least, this shouldn't be a complicated matter.

Part 2: Nothing Out of The Ordinary
Things got violent soon enough. Their number is rather small, just as I thought, this is just another small encampment. Their leader must've been somewhere else. I put myself on the defense as usual, allowing my comrades attack from distance. Sadris' control with his bombs have improved, accurate and causing a lot of damage. More importantly, he didn't accidentally drop any of them on me (thank goodness). However, the enemy have their own ranged combatant of their own and a well placed arrow shot hit Sadris. Thankfully, Sarah has some healing capabilities with her wand. Although the bandits putting a good fight, we're winning for sure. Seeing how the battle progressing well, I put myself more and more on the defense and misses my mark a bit too often. The Warden didn't like that of course and promised to throw me on training with Effigy if I keep slacking. Sheesh, alright then, I'll be more serious. (-__-)

One more bandit to go, and he refuses to surrender. After what they did to the travelers here, I suppose they'd rather not be trialed for multiple killings. It's a dead end for them either way. My comrades already made short work out of them, so even after being warned by the Warden, I think conserving my power is a better option. I just command my eidolon armor to do so...... I think my armor didn't hear me well... hey I order you to conserve, no need to get serious over some soon-dead bandits... It doesn't seem to hear my command rather well all of the sudden...

The bandits attacked as soon as the party came in sight. Arrows started flying and two of the bandits rushed into melee. Some arrows found their target, Constantine was the perfect example of that, but the Volken started to get an advantage. The bandits started to back and one of them fell dead under the blades of Hal and his countrymen.
While attacking one of the bandits Hal's eidolon started to act strange. We could hear him yell and struggle to keep control but it was in vain.
"Keep back. Deal with the remaining bandits first. Then we can help Hal."

Part 3: Acceptance
Everything went black for a split second, and during that fraction of time, I heard that same elderly elf from my dream, urging myself to accept Jager for what it is; a weapon. I keep telling him that his people legacy can't be mine even if I wanted to. Further more because his own people rejected me for being a half-elf, I don't think I want to give a sh*t about his people. The only reason I stay for a long time in that grove is because of my mother, nothing else matter. Now that she is gone, I'm free to pursue my own destiny, for better or worse. The elderly elf laughs at my answer. "Child, whoever said you should accept the legacy of the extinct Earthen Elves? I merely urge you to accept The Jager as a true weapon or else it will strike back at you more often. I can never redeem for what your grand parents, my descendants, have done to you, but know this, I do care for your fate, thus I advise you to do as I suggested for good or ill."
I opened my eyes with claw wounds on my chest, obviously from my own eidolon armor. The battle is already over, the bandits lay dead and the Warden helps me back on my feet and the rest of my comrades is cleaning up the mess, and salvaging anything useful from the bandit camp. "Sorry for that Warden, I guess I still have a lot to learn." I said that in a deep and unusual voice of my eidolon. Thank you elder elf from my dream or whoever your name is, life outside the grove isn't so bad.
