Volkenheim
The volken people are strangers to Calimdor. They came from afar and settled here looking for peace. Their lands they come from are torn by war and peace is a forgotten word.
The community is led by the Council of Holders, who control different aspects of the community's every day life. All Holders report to the Warden, who assists the Holders with their tasks, controls the funds of the settlement and performs duties of Holders that are not available or are not elected yet. Warden's duties also include acceptance or banishment of houses and families from the community, acting as a Judge and middleman in civil affairs.
Once a week, Holders and Warden gather up to discuss matters of the community, with Holders allowed to present ideas, changes or plans that affect more than one part of community's life for a vote. Warden reserves the right to veto the voting of particular idea, change or plan if he believes that such change may cause great harm to the community, it's members, trade or lands, but otherwise, allows the Holders to decide fairly for or against such changes, plans or ideas.
In matters that concern only their jurisdiction, Holders possess great freedom of choice as long as they act in the community's interests, allowing them to choose assistants, initiate projects and define the way their jurisdiction operates, but must report of any such actions to the Warden of the community, who will provide funds, materials and possible assistance in such projects.
In case of Warden's or one of the Holder's death, a vote is held by the surviving members to decide who will replace the fallen as the new Holder/Warden, with Warden being chosen ONLY from active Holders. To be even considered as a candidate for becoming a Holder, person must demonstrate proficiency in the field that he desires to be in charge of, demonstrate that he acts only in the community's interests through outstanding accomplishments and have almost perfect reputation with community members and Holders alike.
Community's objectives are to live and prosper in the land of Calidor through trading and crafting. Looting and pillaging is something that settlers do not desire, but will protect themselves and their families if the need arises.

Current Warden: Constantine Ilfrey

The community is still looking for reliable people to step up and take the vacant position. Only with a complete Holder's Council can the volken people find peace and prosper in these foreign lands.
(Anyone that wants to join must send a PM to the Warden so that we can establish the details or their service.)
