Oirendial settles in a tree for the night, cloak drawn high and her toad clasped close to her chest. She was tired but scared to fall asleep for dreams of her past had haunted her a lot of late and she could bear no more. But fatigue won her over and as her head slumped and eyelids closed another world opened up to her.
Oirendial dear, you musn't fall asleep in the gardens like this, you know we worry about you. Although Oirendial could not see her, she recognised the voice as that of her mother, and she was filled with the warm glow of home. Her mother tried to pick her up, but she refused, claming she could make it alone. She put her hand on the roses she knew grew there, feelings only she could feel brushed her fingers, a slight knick in the stem, a thorn with a minor split at the bottom, things she knew others would miss. Running her hand across the roses, carefully as to not get hurt on a thorn she ran towards the house. Eleven.. twelve.. thirteen and fourteen steps, she moved her hand of the rose that was about to end and with her other hand she felt for the hedges to her left. Freshly cut, a drop of water on a clipped leaf, an ant running across her hand. Suddenly a scream Oirendial watch out! Her mother shouted but it was already too late, the dog that had come out with her mother jumped up at Oirendial and knocked her over, landing on her with his full weight, she felt tears well up and a cry escape her lips. Hush darling, it's ok, it's ok Her soft smoothing voice eased the pain, but the rage burned on. I know you want to be on your on baby, but this is why we want you to stay inside, we can prevent this like this. Those wordswere the bane of her existance. As if being blind wasn't bad enough without being locked up.
Oirendial wakes up, face wet with tears, lthough she didn't know why. Was it because she missed her mother so, or her home, maybe she even wished she was still blind.

"Does your past haunt you as well? Or are you simply plagued by visions of your profession?" Came a voice from behind her. Kaelmourn was sitting back against a tree, still on watch during the night. He examined the girl with eyes that saw things others did not, the heat signatures that drifted from her form and radiated like a blooming flower. Drow had excellent night-vision which came in the form of Infrared, thermographic as some called it.
He simply sat there against the tree, watching her curiously from behind the darkness of his hood. He didn't care for the girl, but he too was occasionally awoken by nightmares of his home. There was an odd comfort in perhaps relating to others in such. His voice was cold and unemotional but yet had a small undertone of seriousness to it. He took memories very seriously, especially with his life-span being as long as it was.

"My past does haunt me, but what I see is for me and me alone." This stranger intrigued her, he seemed elven, although she had never seen an elf other then her mother, and he was definitely not like her. "I've lived in these forests for a very long time and never have i seen a figure such as yourself." Her hand moved towards the handle of her crossbow "What brings you here....elf." She said in elvish speak, trying to find out if he was actually an elf. She felt off balance, she was not used to being in company, especially company whose voice was so inhuman, so... intriguing. "I wish to know your name and heading" Are you a threat she thought to herself. she saw a bow on his back, skillfully crafted and she realised she could be in danger.

Kaelmourn raised an eye-brow underneath his hood at her words but said nothing until she finished. He made no more for his weapons, not seeming to bother with such.
"You are a strange one for your kind, Rivvil." He said once she had finished. If she knew the Elven language then she would recognize Rivvil as the word for Human, though his dialect was far different than any surface-elf. "You know memories of the past but not memories of the previous night? I am Kaelmourn, Pirate Lord of Blackwater. You assisted me against the skeletons but the previous day."

"My memories are immaculate dark one. But I merely helped you in the fight to prevent unnecessary death, perhaps gain some gold for the help *muttering although i was dissapointed on that* this does not mean i trust you. And I still do not know your heading or home. The forest a few days east of here is what i call my home. I rarely travel to cities or places with crowds and I have never seen an elf like you. where are you from?" She felt uneasy being caught out on a moment of weakness.

Kaelmourn turned his hooded gaze back out into the darkness of the forest. He was silent for a little while before answering with "Where I'm from is less important than the memory I have of it." It was a sad but true statement, as it didn't much matter that his home was dead. All that mattered was that he still lived.
"We're heading to Blackwater East of here. If you are referring to the same forest that I think you are, then your destination is just past ours. I'll ensure you receive some gold for your troubles and company when we arrive. What I have on me wouldn't satisfy such a thirst."
The Drow examined his composite bow for a few good seconds as if looking for weaknesses for imperfections. Finally satisfied he brought his attention back to the witch. "Have you ever watched a home burn before? Your home. It is a painful experience, Rivvil."

I have never seen a map Kaelmourn, i do not know where blackwater lies. If you walk east from here, stop when you hit water, thats my home. As for your question, yes and no. But as i said, my memories are my own. All you need to know is i did not come to these woods because i wanted to. She wanted to learn more about this stranger, so she tried to keep him as intrigued about her as she was about him. Watched your home burn, a strange question to ask. She let him call her Rivvil, should it come to a fight, him underestimating her could be a great advantage. At this tought she shaked her hair over her semi-pointed ears. You speak as if you know the feeling and it hurts you still. Speak and I shall listen.
She took her hand off the crossbow, but hid one of the bolts in her sleeve. He seemed to rest his weapons so she would not be the one to start a figth, however, she wouldn't be the one caught off guard either.

Kaelmourn looked up the sky as he tried to collect his memories, his emotions. "Many moons ago there was a place I called home beneath the ground. It held a great city inside and a prosperous nation. Then one day whilst I was outside, I came back to find my home being put to the torch. By your race, even."
He slumped back against the tree to get comfortable but kept one hidden eye on the girl. "Eventually I would come to be what I am today, the leader of all pirates in Blackwater. You will come to your home, little Rivvil. You simply need to help us get to ours." Kaelmourn examined his hands and visibly shuddered, some might think of it from the cold but to him it was from disgust. He hated humans, hated them dearly but yet they were the prominent race on the surface. He had to live with his hatred.

Sentar watched the two elves bicker in their language. I hadn't known that the girl was blind. The two elves didn't seem to trust each other both trying to seem passive with both like a snake coiled up ready to strike. They both seem heavy from their sadness and dwell in the past rather than living for the future. Such gloomy creatures do make for poor company. Once they help support me in slaying some creatures I will separate from the gloomy ones. At least the slave isn't too gloomy I think he isn't intelligent enough to remember if something bad had happened to him.

You might then be glad to hear i hate the Rivvil too. About us walking together. I walk home, and although the road if free and you can walk beside me, I will not follow you beyond my home. Can your home not be rebuilt?
Although she hated herself for it, she felt pity for the man. Losing a home, in whatever way is a dreadfull experience. she wonders how it happened, did he lose his family as well? for a house you can rebuild, wealth can be moved, but a family cannot be gotten back once lost.

Kaelmourn eyed the druid, the soft bits of movement that showed his presence. He waved a hand towards the Druid to come closer and continued. "As said, what my home was is no longer important. It is not possible rebuild such a city." He was caught a bit offguard though on her comment of her also hating the humans. His mind processed this some before he came to the conclusion that she was either an elf as well or was a strange human for hating her own race.
"Now I have told you my story, what of yours? What can you share of the past that troubles you."

I will tell you only this. A traitor in my family, the reason i hate the Rivvil, caused the death of both my parents and forced me to flee my home. Since then, i do not trust anyone anymore, mainly strangers such as yourself.
She chose her words carefully, making sure she gave him nothing that would cause her pain if used against her. The treason was cause for rage, and the loss was cause for pain, but it was the small things that sent her crying. The scent of her mothers hair, the touch of.. before she could finish her thought, tears welled up in her eyes and she turned away from the stranger

Drugo sat there on the branch and grinned revealing his white teeth in the night light. He tilted his head and said, "I assume you guys had one heck of a fight. Seems you made new friends, Kael." He then jumped down and then sat by the tree he jumped off of comfortably. He then raised his hands up and said, "I am harmless, just a passerby. In fact, I heard some commotion and headed this way to see what I can do. Guess I was too late for that."

Kaelmourn looked up to the sight of his bodyguard finally catching up to him. A soft grin spread across his features hidden underneath that featureless hood of his and he gave a welcoming nod to the other Drow. "Drugo, good for you to make it. Aye I've made a few allies. The Druid over there that is more self-centered than your mother was. And this witch. Also a new addition to the crew." He said, gesturing to the human sleeping under some blankets.
"We fought some skeletons, would have been good to have you here but not all schedules can be kept on time I suppose."

"Well, a pirate can have a feast can't he?", Drugo said before he gave a short laugh. Drugo then looked towards the human under the blankets, he observed what he could off of it, then he looked towards the druid, self centered as Kaelmourn described it. "I guess nap-nap time would be a good time. I have been travelling by foot looking for you. I kind of got lost, but luckily heard you guys over here.", Drugo said before resting head on the tree.
