The battered old leather book has moss in the binding but it opens with ease
August 12th
Today was my first day leaving the safety of the woods. I was thrilled and excited to see what lay beyond. I passed through the terrain easily but later in the night I discovered a bumbling drow and human who's loud stomping through the woods had attracted five well armed Skeletons. I watched them with curiosity as the human ran from the skeletons his weapons seeming to have no effect on them, it wasn't long though before he picked up a branch and started beating the skeleton. The human which I'm assume to be the Drows slave. The slave quickly was beat down to the ground by the skeletons, surprisingly the Drow came to help his servant. I had come to believe that all city dwellers cared nothing for life, they killed things and let things wither and die for their convenience. Maybe this Dark Elf isn't like the rest. The Drow looked to have stopped the bleeding, but then continued to run from the skeletons turning to fire arrows. This seems to have been somewhat effective but before long the Drow was having trouble finding arrows in his quiver and bleeding quite badly. I could not stand and watch any longer, the undead have no right to take life from this world! I quickly acted entangling one of the skeletons and protecting the Drow from the others attacks, he was less than grateful for it and instead cowered behind me and begged for healing. I obliged the fragile creature was indeed bleeding quite severely.
Before long my valiant battle with the skeletons was interrupted by the slave, who seemed to have regained his wits. It appears that a witch helped the slave back to his feet. His volley of arrows was not much more than a distraction to the skeletons because the fool was using non-blunted arrows. Before long I smited the skeletons with my druidic might.
