Aegoth awoke from his slumber, and drearily began to rise. He had a foul taste in his mouth, and squinted as the sun's rays shown directly into his eyes. He began to get up and did a quick inspection of his surroundings. Once everything felt clear he began to dress into a peasant's tunic. It was his second day in the city, and he intended to take full advantage of it.

Sadris wakes making breakfast for all the guests and flash boils some tea leaves brings trays to all the rooms. Knocking on doors for an early waking meal sadris stops before the newcomers door. "Tea, eggs, rolls, and ham a fine meal" and a note "good day sir not to bother you but do you know a woman named galya younfie? If you do we need to talk and I will pay. Sighned Sadris Coilin former member of Tucker's crew"

Aegoth took out the small steel mirror and inspected his face and his clothing. He looked at his beard and trimmed the sides so it didn't grow misshapen like those beggards on the streets. He smoothed over the wrinkles on the tunic that he had bought yesterday. After a few minutes he looked like one of those day laborers that he saw yesterday working on the new buildings that were rapidly rising in the city.
"Perfect, shouldn't draw any attention, now to begin exploring the ci-"
A knock on the door interrupted his thought. He could however, smell the scent of salted ham, freshly cooked eggs, and the delicate aroma of herbal tea.
"That smells wondrous, I must give my praise to the innkeeper" he thought
Aegoth opened the door and was greeted by the same newcomer who had shared in the "forced" conversation he had with the wizard last night. On his hands were a tray of a rather delicious looking array of food. "Tea, eggs, rolls, and ham a fine meal" and "good day sir not to bother you but do you know a woman named Galya Younfie? If you do we need to talk and I will pay.
"Well Good Morning, Friend and a fine meal it is! Please give my praise to the innkeeper," he chuckled and slipped a few silver coins into the man's pocket. He took the tray of food from the man and said," Unfortunately I do not know of a woman named Galya Younfie, but if I do hear word of her I will make certain to let you know".

Aegoth slipped behind the door with the tray, and quickly munched down his heal. He finished it with the herbal tea that had been prepared for him and began to rise towards the door. He scurried down the stairs and made his way outside the inn.
"Now, lets see what opportunities this city has to offer," he thought.
He yawned and stretched out his arms as he began his stroll down the streetway.

Aegoth set off down the city street and began looking around for something. He stopped at an alleyway and noticed a pile of loose rocks in it.
“Perfect, this should do,” he thought
He removed a sack from his tunic and immediately began to pile some rocks into it. Once it looked fairly full he swung the sack around his neck and walked out and into the street. A passerby looking at Aegoth would only see a day laborer with a sack of goods that he obviously meant to move somewhere. His beard and hair covered his half-elven traits and allowed him to blend into the human traffic. In a bustling city like Valkenheim, he would draw little to no suspicion from peering eyes.
Aegoth toured the city, looking at houses being constructed and houses already built. Every now and then a house would catch his interest and he would mark it. Once marked, he walked along with the flow of traffic scouting out the house. He looked for guards on station. He looked for windows, chimneys, any opening that could be exploited. Once he lost vision, he would turn a few corners, and be at the marked house again. When a servant from the household came close enough to the street, he would ask.
“Oh hello friend, I’m looking for my new master. Do you know whose household this belongs to?
The unsuspecting servant would usually give out the master’s name. Aegoth would shake his head in disappointment and respond.
“Well, do you know what your master does? I hear nobles of the same profession live in the same area. I just need to know if in the right spot”.
The peasant would of course give his master’s profession, and Aegoth would apologize saying that I wasn’t his master’s profession and go on his way, keeping a tab on the location of the house, as well as the name and profession of its owner.
He did this for the entirety of the day and had marked several houses of interest. Before he retired to the inn however, he dumped the rocks at another alleyway and walked toward the market for some pickpocket practice.
As Aegoth approached the market he took notice at the increased number of guards patrolling the area.
“Well, that’s expected with the commotion yesterday and all,” he thought. “But it is still nothing to worry about”.
He observed for a while and located a few spots in the market that were blind to the guard’s. From there he took out some scissors, and moved into the market to begin his work.
In a few hours he came out a few pouches richer than when he came in.
“Well this should keep me well off for a few more weeks.” he thought and smiled as the pouches jingled happily in his sack. From there he moved back towards the inn, for some rest and relaxation.
