He swallowed hard and tried not to think of the possibility of a monster being down there. It felt like walking around barefoot when there's a snake lurking around. He looks to Ryful for reassurance. “We are alone.” responded Ryful as he scans the darkness. His heart slowly calmed and as no other sound invaded the darkness, he decided to try and find another opening. Better then sitting still and waiting. He just wasn't the kind to sit around in wait so he pushed himself forward. Lector lost track of time, no doubt feeling about the walls instead of going in a straight line and not knowing where he is putting his foot, slowed him down. His mind however, was racing with the images he saw before the sky disappeared and was replaced with flicking lights of a descending tunnel. The cave was a labyrinth and his hand met carvings and spider-webs and just about anything one can imagine in a cave. He wondered if he was going around in circles, also thinking he probably had double amount of injuries by now, simply from bumping into things in the dark. Partly he had himself to thank for that and of how distracted he's been the whole time.

At this point the halfling has taken on an attitude of...
"Screw it... he is a big boy and his pet goat is with him. We should wait here and ensure the hole doesn't get covered up..."
The halfling kicks another rock down the hole and then turns walking away slowly.
After several moments pass he begins to walk the holes perimeter again looking up at the sky sighing.
There is a raven in the distance heading for the caravan. As it lands one of the helping hands take the note and sighs shaking his head.
"its for you master halfling"
Del quirks a brow and walks over to him snatching the note. As he unrolls it he looks over his shoulder as if he thinks anyone would bother to spy on him.
"Well now... that is hardly anything to bother me with now is it..."
He pockets the note in one of his many hidden folds and looks at the group.
"Soooo we should make sure he isnt dead right? anyone wanna come with me down there?"

Whispers echoed through out the cave from every direction he was unable to determine whether they were apparitions or the party above looking for him. A scorpion skittered across the ground as Ryful crushed it with his claws, making a satisfying squish sound. "What was that?" the paranoid Lector asked. Darkness closed it's grasp on him, every step led to more darkness, nothing changed. He could not even see his own hands only outlines of where he thought they were. "Don't worry about it." was all he got. A flicker of light caught his eye. A sudden a bout of excitement overcame him as he picked up the pace. He could hear running water and birds flapping their wings. He stepped out into the underground chamber. The ceiling is a domed rock formation at least 50ft high. Sunlight could not directly reach down here, instead it bounced off hundreds of crystals in tiny cracks which gave the room a dim purple illumination. The room was filled with vegetation he did not recognize. They had an interesting aroma. A tiny flow of water trickled down the middle of the room, it was enough to water all the plants that were protected from the sunlight. The growth was uncontrolled, the plants fought for space, some roots even cracked the rock walls.
It was clear no one attended to this underground garden other then mother nature herself. Lector examined the walls for exits but could not find any.

Looking around ChanG answers "I don't carry rope. Perhaps you brought some along? If you find any I'll help hold this end." Laughing slightly to himself. "Destiny lies ahead... or below."
Setting off to search the pile of supplies dragging one end of rope letting the rest trail behind in the sand. "This long enough?" passing off the end of tangled mess of rope to Del.
"I would think that it is cooler down there, and less tedious than up here."
Letting Del work with the tangled mess of rope, ChanG keeps an eye out.

Looking at the ropes he laughs and drops them in the sand...
"Nope... ill use my own..."
Whipping off his scarf he flicks it and ties one end on the nearby camel with a slipknot. The little halfling then repels down the hole and at the bottom flicks the reinforced scarf causing the knot to untie.
"Im down... he isnt dead from a head wound here at least..."

Glancing about with as the little man says is nothing but sand. Sand and an appearingly lone black bird. The bird circles above a few times and then lands near a small cage. Opening the hinged door the bird hops inside happy to enjoy the bit of food left inside of it.
Trying to talk down the hole but not yell at the same time the Monk calls down. "There is a Bird. A black bird in your box. I suppose that it likes it there. It opened the door."
That would be a messenger raven from the city for sure. That and there somewhere is a sealed tube that was handed to Lector before he left the city.
Thinking to himself how interesting it is to see birds cage themselves. Trusting in his reason in believing that it would be some sort of pet and not just a random bird, but it could be. ChanG goes back to watching the desert sand, and the sky.

Lector examined the plants in the cave. There was one he recognized. It was a herb used to sooth the mind, inducing relaxation. He figured since there was no exit, he should take some to pass the time.
Chewing on a leaf released the chemicals into his body. His anxiety of being trapped in the cave left him. The plants swayed back and forth, the flowers started to bleed into the room. Serpentine dragons swam on the walls dancing and playing for his amusement.
"Lector!" a voice echoed "Are you still alive?" It was probably the ninja he thought to himself.
"Over here!!" he shouted back.

The halfling waded thought he darkness and ensured he remained perfectly silent as he made his way to the back of the opening. Having heard Lector he knew at least the worst case scenario was unlikely to have come to be.
"Well if your well enough to shout out then your well enough to come back when your ready..."
The halfling places a hand over the spot he kept his throwing stars.
"If you are still Lector and not some voice mimic killy thing..."

"I'll try but I seem to have a little trouble walking at the moment." He stumbled but caught himself.
"Bring a torch will ya? I found a nice garden down here." He belched but managed to not vomit. Lector sits down again waiting for the effects to pass. He let's out a heavy breathe as nausea overcomes him.
The dragons dancing on the walls have slowly turned back into reflections of the water. He looked down and saw the pile of leaves he has chewed through. It was a lot more than he realized. The plants in the cave stopped bleeding into the air, his head felt clearer as he tried standing up again. Refreshed, he followed Ryful into the darkness.

At this point the ninja has entered the same area as Lector and rather than check up on him he becomes increasingly fascinated with the features of the cave.
"I told you... you hit your head... lie down... stop puking..."
He picks up a leaf and smells it.
"Oh how nice... perhaps I can make use of these?"
He bits down on it to ascertain its alchemical properties.
"Well thats spice... so not much use other than... heh heh hehe"
The halfing at this point starts to wander back to the front of the cave having dropped the leaves behind him.
"I suggest you head on back as well... heh dont eat any more plants."
After making it back to the entrance of the Del looks up and is struck by a sudden flash of light and insight. A heavenly form of a women appears in the sky. Albeit this occurs only in the halfling's drug addled mind.
"Hey nice floating lady... You should not be floating in the desert... its hot and dangerous."
The lady takes on the aura of war and storms creating intense lighting thunder and clouds that strike the halfling with awe. She points at the little ninja and proclaims that she has need of his skill but he must first hone them. A master swordsmen resides in the far north and a band of fierce warriors can guide him should he accept the arduous journey there.
Slightly humbled by the divine message the halfling take several moments to accept the task before snapping back into his normal frame of mind.
"I accept and am honored by your faith in my ability. I shall travel north find this master of the ways of the ninja and be in your service... and if possible could you maybe.. show me your tits! Wooo lets do this thing!"
The lady in the sky sighs and perhaps smirks slightly as she fades out... the last of her words are completely missed by Del... "I didn't say ninja..."
Well maybe not totally back into his normal mindset... he has muddled his mind with spice. Regardless at this point the Halfling snaps back to his surroundings i the real world. Quick like a fox he flings his weighted scarf up to a caravan hand and pulls himself up.
"Well its been a slice... gents. Good luck on your mission. I however have completed my assigned expedition and seeing as there is funny business afoot back int he capital... I'm out."
At this the halfing toss a piece of parchment on the ground and begins marching off toward the northern edge of the desert.
A slight whistle can be herd as he begins to put some distance between him and the group.
Del the Halfling Ninja has left the Yesadi Sultanate in search for a ninja master as foretold to him by a float lady god in the sky.

Lector climbed out of the hole and was quickly greeted by the scorching sun. His eyes quickly adjusted to the brightness. There was only the monk mediating atop the dune.
He spotted a raven sitting in a bird cage, it wasn't there before. The ninja followed him out of the hole "I must go" as he ran north.
Still slightly disoriented, the mage waves goodbye as the ninja disappears into the horizon. He tried to get the monk's attention but he was very deep in his mediation. He examined the raven again and noticed a note wrapped around it's leg. "new boss has sat in the big chair... new boss must have wanted to upgrade to the next model." It didn't make much sense. He scratched his head and pondered his next move.
A legion of vultures flew overhead towards Yesad. An ill omen forebode, Lector decided it was best to head back to the capital. He had a bad feeling about this.

!out of order:
Coming out of a deep mediation there was nobody there. A chance encounter with a really good looking Fox perhaps chanced my way. After skinning the animal Lector came back to camp. He had killed a Wolf. The peculiar small one did not return. I assume he did not come back from the hunt. We searched out together and dropped a deer.
(Attempting conversation insert)Asking Lector about his worry I tried to engage him to find conversation, with me or with himself. Perhaps he is mourning for the loss of one under his leadership.
Food was good for the rest of the week, but not so good for the Hunting. Lector seemed concerned with something and must have thrown off his center.

ChanG gets up and moves off to a more quiet area and settles in to Meditate more. Lector who knows me but have never seen is a conundrum wrapped in an enigma. Being one from elsewhere it is very difficult to understand them sometimes. Getting used to a simmilar but completely different language has been tough. Especially when those around you talk all different or not at all.
Be patient, for the answers will come... The path ahead will be interesting.
