(Try as you might, the whistle does not make any noise.)
A few moments pass, and then an arrow sprouts out of the ground near Zanfire's feet. (DC 20 to spot where it came from) The arrow matches one of those that Dax was carrying in his quiver. The message is clear. Only use that whistle if you're actually in danger.

After a second or so of blowing Nikbo realizes that there is no sound coming from the whistle at all. He looks curiously on as the Wizard makes a fool of him self.
"HAHAHAHA, Tiny runt tricked you. Your whistle is broken!!"
As Nikbo clenches his gut contorted over in laughter a arrow thunks into the ground at Silverkins feet. Nikbo is slightly stunned by this but not so much that his combat instinks don't kick in and he immediately sprints to his weapons grasping his Scythe, the thunder of his movements shaking the ground. The Scythe is expertly handled as Nikbo rolls back across to the wizard taking a defensive stance in front of Silverkin and placing his weapon head in the general direction of the shot, eyes scanning the bushes for any danger.
"Weak one stay behind me, there be danger afoot."

Zanfire was confused. The whistle makes no sound. Why Dax gave him a broken one?
And all of sudden, the arrow shot from somewhere and land by his feet when Zanfire enjoys the laugh of the giant. He is stunned by this. Nikbo rushs in front of him, trying to protect him from danger.
Zanfire loves the feeling that he has a personal bodyguard, at least for now. He is ready for battle with his new buddy.
(Zanfire won't recognize Dax's arrow because he didn't pay attention to his quiver before)

Dax thinks these two new recruits are pretty silly. Don't they know what a dog whistle is? And can't they figure out the obvious correlation between that arrow and blowing the whistle? Dax shakes Dax's head. Oh well. Let them cool their heels a while longer while Dax finishes burying his treasures. Then Dax will go explain to them how they weren't using their heads.

Continuing to shelter the Wizard. Nikbo scans ever more area looking for any possible threats and keeping a sharp ear out for the source of the arrow. Nikbo sways the Scythe back and forth inline with his vision, shuffling his feet when needed but always keeping the Wizard behind him.
"Show yer self coward!"

Seeing nothing shows up, Zanfire lower his guard after a while.
"I think whatever it is, is gone nowo. Probably scared of you. Good job Nikbo, and thanks."

Roughly half an hour has passed since Dax originally left to go bury his "treasure."
As he comes back into the clearing, he goes and picks up his arrow, putting it away with the matching arrows in his quiver.
"Dax is not sure you understood Dax's message. Don't use the whistle if Master Zanfire is not in danger. Dax could be putting himself in unnecessary inconvenience or danger for that. Dax doesn't like that. Dax is not a pet dog to come when you call just because you wish. But Dax thinks you can still keep the whistle for now, until you go on to Blackwater Cove. And Dax is pleased to see that Nikbo is willing to protect master Zanfire. Even if Nikbo is trying to protect Master Zanfire from jittery nerves."

Seeing Dax return and heard what he said, Zanfire finally figure out what's happened.
"I'm sorry Dax, just wanted to try it out. Please forgive me." Zanfire bows to Dax as he says. Then he carefully put the whistle into his pocket. He knows now that when he blow the whistle, Dax will come in no time.
Now with Nikbo the big guy stay beside me, Dax hiding somewhere watching his back (I hope...), Zanfire never felt this safe before.
"So Nikbo what we going to do at the mean time?"

Nikbo, relived after some time to learn the arrow was in fact Dax returns to a passive posture and drops his weapon. Dax makes his speach and once again re treats to the brush.
"So Nikbo what we going to do at the mean time?" Silverkin pipes up.
Looking blankly at Silver kin he then ruffles thru his pack and produces a small box with the word Conquest on it and gives a sheepish grin to silverkin.
(OCC: Nikbo basically just pulled RISK out of his backpack)

Zanfire takes the box and looks through it. "Never done this before, show me how Nikbo."
(OOC: Nikbo should pulled out something like pathfinder/D&D starter box set, so we can roleplay our character that roleplaying their characters, LOL) (But of course I think that's consider cheating the system)

Once the Wizard takes the box and pears thrue it he hands it back to Nikbo showing interest in this game and its play.
Nikbo takes the contents of the box which are divided up into a thin wooden map of some far off land and 2 smaller boxes of little solders and other creatures. Nikbo explains that each person places one of their pieces on a section of the map one by one until all the sections are claimed and then they fight it out with the use of some coins.
"You go first."

When Zanfire is playing the game with Nikbo, he trys to ask his question again.
"So Nikbo, we were interrupted earlier. What bring you here?"

As we play the game of conquest the conversation resumes from earlyer comes up again.
"My race is a rare one and we strive to find acceptance, and as my grandfather who I am sure you will meet later came to learn we are accepted here in Blackwater."

Looking at the size of Nikbo, it isn't hard to imagine why they are not accepted anywhere.
"What race exactly are you anyway? I haven't read or see anything about your race."
Beside a crafter, Zanfire is also a wizard. Anything new sure will catch his attention.

As he shuffles a few pieces into a land locked zone on the board the coins turn up victory for Nikbo on this turn.
"I am not surprised that you have never seen or heard of my kind. Our race is little more that 400 years old and we number far less than a thousand."
Nikbo moves a few more pieces around on the board and then hands over the coins to Silverkin.
"I am a Golant, My self in particular am the First true born of the Golant and unlike my Grandfather who was THE first Golant my parents are neither a Stone Giant or a Gold Dragon"
