Hearing the orc's strong voice from the back room, An-Ei hastily tossed a few pieces of meat she found on a frying pan, some oil and begun quickly cutting some vegetables she could find lying around.
The meal took much less than expected to prepare. Just 1 or 2 minutes later Anna was back at the bar along with a plate full of food and something to quench their thirst. After taking a bite off a steak, or at least what looked like one, she turned to the others and said:
"Am i a great cook or what?". She paused and then looked towards Cloud before saying: "Can you please be a little bit more quiet? Not everyone here is a 10 feet orc with the endurance to run for days unscathed. People need to sleep, and if you keep shouting and barging through doors they are going to wake up. Anyway, yes, of course i'm in for the next mission.".

Effigy looked up at Anna who was carrying a plate full of food. Effigy didn't realize until now how hungry he was and started to dig right in. Anna's wish that he would lower his voice was answered simply by him filling his mouth full of food stuffs.
After a minute or so the plate was empty. The others at the table barely managing to get scraps. "I thank you Anna." He said with a lowered voice from before.

-"After we are all rested I plan to head out southwest along the river and will be looking to take with me a small expedition party." He looked from The commoner to Hal, "I would like if you two considered coming a long."
Aegoth replied, "As much as I would like to be a part of your expedition I don't believe I am quite suited for such a task, ha ha ha. In fact, I do believe it is time for me to get some rest, I am tired from the day's labor and would like to get some sleep". He then began to walk towards the stairs.

( ) *MUNCH MUNCH* Hal was munching on a big chunk of sausage when Anna Erica told him to be more quiet. He quickly nodded and munch more quietly, though he doesn't really know that will help or not, or whether munching sound can disturb people. *munch munch* (.__. ) Anna Erica brought more food to the table, smells really good. "Oh wow thanks, I think I'll have seconds." (^__^ ) Of course he said this as quietly as possible. And then Effigy asked him to consider joining another expedition. Hal took one gulp of ale. "Whew, Sure, but is there anyone else coming?" Hal asked after he saw Eratus decline the offer.

Effigy nodded in approval at Anna and Halis. I am glad to have met such people on the surface. Effigy tried not to think about what he would be doing right now if he met up with pirates or brigands first. He was still not much more than a hired sword. But now he felt like a hired sword with a purpose.
His thoughts flashed to wondering if Constantine fixed the problem just to the south yet. Perhaps I will investigate while traveling down there.

Aegoth made his way up the stairs, with a thoughtful expression on his face.
"I should probably move to another place, last thing I want is to be a familiar face to that wizard's lackey. Such a shame, this place has such a nice home-like feel to it."
He thought of the priestess and the young half-elf. "Looks like they're in league with the wizard as well, it is probably best if I avoid them as well. That ale was she served was truly heavenly though, maybe I could stop by for a "visit" later?" Aegoth smirked at the thought of the look on the innkeeper's face if his entire dwarven ale stash disappeared.
As he entered his room, he closed the door behind him. He took out a sack from his bag and placed it on his bedroll. He then removed a small piece of parchment. It had a list of names, houses, and descriptions of the places he had marked on his stroll through the market earlier in the day.
"Lets see..... looks like that merchant will be out of the city for a few days, his house will be a perfect target," Aegoth thought.
He went to the loose board in the corner of his room and removed it. Inside it was a small bag. He grabbed it and emptied its contents onto his bedroll. What came out were several metal tools of various shapes and sizes. Aegoth began to inspect the tools that he needed for the night.
He pulled out a small suction cup that was attached to a metal rod. The rod was interlocked with another rod which made the tool appear like an enlarged compass. Except that on the end of the compass there wasn't a pencil but a sharp knife. The knife could cut a circle in a glass panel while the suction cup could pull out the piece. He inspected it and reminded himself to sharpen the knife with a whetstone later.
Next he pulled out a pair of scissors, thick enough to cut through a normal rope made of hemp or silk.
After that he pulled a small foot-long stick that was wrapped in parchment. He unwrapped the parchment, inspecting the silver tip which meant the stick was a moonrod, and then rewrapped it.
He took out a pair of small metal rods of varying sizes that could be used to pick locks of varying sizes.
Aegoth placed all the tools in his sack, along with some black dyed cloth. He then placed the sack in the hole in the wall and placed back the loose board He undressed and slid into his bedroll. He kept his eyes closed but didn't drift to sleep.
"Now I just need to wait until everyone has gone to bed, from the looks of it most of the group downstairs will be resting for whatever journey they have planned tomorrow."

An-Ei took a good look around the inn. Night has fallen, as have the silence and the sound of nature taken over the place. The night was a rather bright one wich made An-Ei happy and feel safer.
Taking a look towards her comrades, Hal and Effigy, she thanked them for listening to her.
"I am going to speak with the traveler, try to convince him t ocome with us maybe." she cheefully though silently said to the others. "I believe he is just a little bit shy.".
She smiled and walked towards Aegoth's room on the upper floor.
Once she reached there she tried to listen if any sound was heard from inside. Since she could hear nothing she slightly knocked the door a few times, more of a touch one would describe it that an actual knock. She didn't want to wake the tired traveler, if he had already gone to sleep.

"Looks like everyone has gone to bed, perfect time to get going," Aegoth thought noticing that the noise downstairs had ceased for a few hours.
Aegoth got out of his bed and got out his moonrod. He tapped on it a few times and it glowed and dimly illuminated the room. To the eyes of a human, it still would have been hard to see anything, but to Aegoth's half-elf eyes the entire room was as visible as it was in the day.
He shuffled out of his bedroll, and put on a traveler's tunic. He slid the loose board and removed the sack which held his tools. He took out the parchment and read the location of his target for the night. He then slid the parchment into a pocket. He covered the moonrod with a piece of parchment and placed it into his sack. He silently placed the sack over his shoulder and tried to silently move his way towards the door. He swung open the door, and had a look of surprise on his face as the priestess was right in front of him.

An-Ei put her hand in front of her mouth so that she would not scream and made a few steps backward, being trully scared by the door opening so suddenly. The weird eerie light that filled the air was not helpful either, resulting to her miscalculating the space she had behind her and hitting her head slightly upon the wall.
Her right hand instinctively went for a search in her component pouches, while the left hand tighly grabbed a broomstick leaning towards the wall by her side, which she used as a poking stick, aiming it towards the room.
Hadn't she inspected the traveler's glove earlier, she would now be shouting for help and the whole inn would probably become aware. She slowly and hesitatingly took one step forward and whispered: "Who is it?".

"What in Abadur's name is---," he thought
Aegoth's thought was cut off as the priestess, with a look of horror, jumped back and proceeded to hit her head on the wall. She immediately reached into a pouch with one hand and grabbed something with the other.
She poked whatever it was in his direction, and Aegoth instinctively reached to pull out his sword. He stopped himself when he realized it was just a broomstick.
"This is silly," he thought. Upon being asked what he was by the priestess, he moved his hand off the handle of his sword and said with a smile,
"Relax Miss, it is only Eratus"

"You damn know how to scare people off." An-Ei replied, taking a deep breath and trying to calm down. "Was it nightmares that kept you awake, or some other important matter? As far as i remember, i believe you said you were going to sleep since you were tired.".
An-Ei seemed a bit anxious still. It could be clearly seen that her hand, although not inside her trusty pouch, did not fare away from it. She seemed rather suspicious of the man, as if she expected him to not be the person he said he was, a feeling one could easily read on her face and her frowned eyebrows.

"Cmon, Aegoth better scrounge up some tale to fool the priestess," he thought
"Ha ha miss, I was just feeling a tad bit stuffy in my room. I think that dwarven ale was a bit stronger than I expected. I believe a midnight stroll should clear up my head, so that is what I am off to do right now," he said and began to inch his way towards the stairs with the sack over his right shoulder.
"And no need to worry about me miss, I may not look like much but I've braved a few dangers in the world, so I should be able to take care of anything that lurks in the city," and Aegoth gestured towards his short sword with his free hand.
"Now if you will excuse me, I would like to enjoy the night air". And he began to walk down the stairs.

The inn was very quiet, thanks to Anna Erica's earlier request to keep it as quiet as possible to avoid disturbing the guests. That's why the bump noise, followed by several abrupt footsteps from the above floor can be heard from downstairs. Hal quickly put his mug of ale away and summon his Eidolon armor, he reached for his Falcata and walks towards the stairs to see what was making the noise. That is when he saw Eratus walking down the stairs, while Anna Erica stood near one of the room, wielding...... a broomstick.
Speaking through the eidolon armor, Hal voice becomes deeper and quite different than his normal voice, so he speaks as slowly as possible in order not to alarm the two. "Is everything alright?" Asked Hal. The more he looked at Eratus, the more Hal is convinced that this guy is not just a simple traveler, but we shall see...

An-Ei's anxiousness gave place to curiosity but she also tried to be discreet.
"I was going to ask you to come with us tommorow." said An-Ei to the traveler, while looking to Hal and his weird armor of some sort she did not fully understand "But i guess it'll have to wait until tommorow.".
"I can brew some tea with herbs that'll make you feel better if you want." said An-Ei while Aegoth was walking down the stairs to leave the inn.

"It is alright Miss, no need to trouble yourself. I've been yearning for the night's air anyway," Aegoth said and continued to walk down being halfway down the stairs by the time he finished the sentence.
He passed by the armored figure ( that Aegoth vaguely remembered as being Hal) that asked if everything was alright and replied," Oh nothing, just the Missus had a bit of a fright, that is all."
Aegoth stepped down to the floor and began to make his way for the door.
