Hi, I'm that guy the leader knows from roll20... Oh wait, we're RPing? I am an Elfen ranger hailing from distant lands, across the ocean. I seek glory for my family, the noble Sea clan, tamers of the ocean and glorious stewards to the order of nature. No creature can avoid my 360 noscopes. Huzaa.

>_< Noooo not the noscopes. Good to see you Silver. Make a character sheet and PM it to the DM (Colin). In the same message tell him you are joining my kingdom. I am still waiting for atleast 1 more person to tell me he done that, so I can go to the DM, and ask him to place our capital.

Pure slavery I'm against but if someone wants to debt bondage/slavery, that is fair game.

We have 2 rangers now! We can attack twice each week! Also, we could use some healers if we are to expand at some point. Can't be buying supplies if there is no place to buy them from.

A notice to everyone, Once we get our private section of the forum, I'll ask everyone to post their character sheets and names in the designated thread, so atleast I know who's who.

Ok. Just wondering; once we get authorized, do we or you make a rp thread on the in character section?

You mean the in-character forum? You get to make it, and decide what it will be about. Can be anything from describing how you got to the city, to you drinking in a pub with someone.

Anyone can create on the rp thread, but there a few rules. You can only rp in terms of where your character is geographically on the map. For instance you can't jump in on a conversation taking place in Volkunhiem and then sit at the Campfire across the map with the Hawks. You must respect the geographic reality of your character. Also, once you have placed your character either in game or on the forum, placement is permanent.
You can add flashbacks or back stories that give more details about your character's story, but it must ultimately tie into what makes sense for your character in present time. That all should be a no brainer.

Could we play it off as the towns best pub and most of us have spent some time there and play the rp as some time in the not to distant past to get to know each other around a pub table?

Yes, but in your case it should be at least 2-3 weeks in the past because that's how far out you are. That might get tricky for the other players to keep straight so its best if you don't join and let them stay present, still assuming you met them in the recent past or just know them in general. Meanwhile you can still rp with your present group. You can do whatever you want but I will be paying close attention to continuity and yes, I do read them all.

Since you read them all how do you feel about them wanting to make a 250 word minimum? I'd never try to slip one past ya though. I just enjoy the rp as its a good way for me to get to know everyone and it adds depth to my character as I create his reactions and story in the conversation.

The only rule is that you must not abuse the system by any means. This could include splitting posts or posting inconsequential material. So far I see no cases of this. As long as your post is of substance then it is permitted. You could for instance have a conversation between characters that spans multiple posts and there is no other way to fairly to such a thing than to have short posts. I am far more in favor of the xp cap idea that has been proposed than the word limit idea, which I think could be worse as players feel the need to add fluff or material that doesn't matter just to reach a word limit.

Hello all, I'm Summoner Leoven Loyalar. I'm a local resident in Valencia, and ready to serve my king.
(PMed DM my character sheet. Also I selected Favored Son, so Leoven were born and raised in Valencia. renen, you need to come up with a name for the tavern, so I can have free meal from there, lol.)
