I hate to be the one to bring this up but as im sure many people are aware Calidor is Dieing. I for one am not ready to quit so i propose a restart all nations wiped clean off the map a 1-2 week period for discussion to those who wish to start or join new factions and an entire restart every one from lv 1. I also believe we might need to impose more restrictions on character creation. This will also help new players who think that there's no point in playing because every ones already to high lv. I mean new blood is what this game needs. There are going to be issues with people that don't want to start over but still i think this is what Calidor needs to survive. But i want everyone's opinion on the subject what do you think How can we save the Game that has brought all of us together.

ok i am against the banning of classes based on the fact that it is insanely random which are banned, and half the players are playing banned classes. it would also make item manufacture near imposable.
if you ban them i would see fully half our player base leaving. and yes i am in that number.

What has been crushing me, personally, the most, is that things have been all about becoming the 'strongest', and the essence of pathfinder, which is ROLEPLAY, is completely neglected by most everyone. People are doing things that make little to no sense, just so they can level up and become stronger.
Number 2 on my list is the 'comptetitive' part of the game. Why is there so much competition on becoming said strongest person? I know that when different factions are in place, comptetition is unavoidable, but everyone is focusing completely on that part, which makes the game a chore to be in, instead of a game that is there to have fun. If you have fun only if you are the strongest and are 'an hero' or 'teh eburz', then please, stay away from me.
Last but not least, I do think a realm wipe needs to be done, as new rules came out many a time after the game was created, and a lot of things have been implemented that would have made the game better should they have been there from the start.

If we do restart, it's best to utilize all of pathfinder because it looks like we threw the RP chunk away and went for the fighting part. Because some people left, such as bards, because their class was useless and couldn't do jack-squat. We need to utilize the RP functions and have people put more effort in the In-character forums as well as input into the general forums and discussions. Not only that, but we need to change the random encounter lists based on what is out there and what you can find at random. Trust me, no one is going to find 6 hill giants in a desert; You are more likely to find at least one wolf in the desert compared to 6 hill giants. I'm not saying we should do level based encounters but have a based encounter knowing of what we will find in certain areas, I'm thinking of having a rare encounter and common encounter rolls with a chance to roll rare in the common sheet, (To GM/DM's discretion to both rare, common, and noc encounter) as well as NPC's that travel the land making the journey a puzzle as well as a travel knowing whether or not you will encounter such beasts (to make realism where it counts). If there is anything you should ban, it should be the orcs. Everything in Calidor is too neutral, there is no evil or good. It's like we all co-exist with no hatred or passion. A reason why calidor is going bland. But...that's my two cents

I don't like this idea. I agree that Calidor has been decaying over the last two months or so and that everything's just been really bad (the reason I took a break). However I don't think this is any reason to start everything over completely from zero. Doing that just seems like giving up, we should work on taking the biggest problems down at the source.
First there's inactivity, unfortunately there really isn't much we can do in this area. People are gonna stop playing the game without any notice and that's inevitable whether we restart the game or not.
Next we've got cheating, which surprisingly hasn't been that big of an issue lately (still a big problem, just not as bad as it used to be). Again this just falls under the integrity of the players and how vigilant the GMs can be. I think the system we have now with Colin as the "safety inspector" and Soloreth as the high Magistrate has been working out. I do however think we should be a lot harsher towards people who cheat
Lastly there's the munchkins and out of everybody in all of Calidor there is no one kind of person I hate more than the god damned munchkins. This is where banning classes comes in, and where the GMs use there VETO to stop this bullshit. I'm sick and tired of seeing OP characters running around with no story or depth to them at all and the Gms just standing there going "but I checked the sheet and its legal". Who gives two shits if its legal just change it cause your a GM and you can, no other justification is needed. If the GMs can do that this game will start being more RP focused and less about who has the highest numbers.
Anyways, these are the biggest problems in the Realm of Calidor and they are the main contributors to its downfall. All of them either can't be helped or have another more practical solution than just throwing our hands in the air and saying "lets start over!"

I would happily RP but said "inactivity problem" only makes me RP with myself and that is no fun.

I get it man, my group never did anything with me no matter how many times I reminded them about the RP threads I posted up. I not just talking about RP here in the forum either though. We would RP everywhere, in PMs and on occasion we'd even RP on roll 20 itself... and it was great.
I remember a time where the Realm of Calidor was almost completely RP focused. I had the best time ever getting into religious arguments with the other players about imaginary Gods but all of that is gone now, its just a stat race now.

Ceraton you can place the blame on me all you want but I never played with the sole intent to level up as fast as possible. If that was the case I would not have traveled in groups and sharing experience with lower level characters.
Yes my character was strong but I played every week and made my moves.
In any event, I guess here is as good as a place as any to announce my resignation from Calidor.
Some of you probably already know this and have expected it for some time, to others it may shock. In any event I wish you all well and for a hopeful future for Calidor.

I feel like there is nothing to do in Calidor. Once the week has been done for the day, the rest of the week has been dust and echoes.

For anyone curious. I deleted my comment after effigy posted thinking it was silly and evidently he read it anyways. What I said was "I wasn't going to name anybody, but the person who started it was the guy who wanted to lower the exp gain so we all can level at an even pace, but apparently the person that said it apparently became the strongest character in Calidor ."(A little collapsed but highlights the points I made in my two-sentence post)

I've put in some serious thought about this issue. I see reasons to reset and reasons to stay. After thinking on it, I feel we do indeed need a reset. Everyone at level 1, including First Men(for those few of them that remain)
Everyone is free to create new characters or to recreate their old ones. The same goes for factions.
This is the proposed outline I am bringing to the table. By order of the High Magistrate, let there be a vote!
