I lay back on a bed of leaves, fresh bandages across the two gaping arrow holes in my chest, and a third nearly soaked through across my throat, from the last nearly fatal blow struck against me.
Day 18 Evening:
Looking to the side, I see the new companion that the Lady has led me to, who I now owe my life to.
He is currently arguing with his donkey about how much credit the donkey can take. At least I think that's what he's doing. I am still a little woozy, and he speaks very fast.

We met up near where his posting had said to meet him to go forth and seek the Lady, which heartened me, as I thought the Lady spoke only to me, due to the time I spent travelling alone with Her. However, he seemed from the get go to be under the impression that She floats for some reason, and he seems to enjoy arguing with his mount.
We encountered a few creatures during our trek northward, including a herd of centaurs, the first time I have seen their kind, but they seemed upset for some reason, so we avoided them.
It seemed we were going to simply pass through, until we came across a raiding band of goblins. I didn't think we would be able to do much about them, as they had both advantage in numbers, as well as a pack of their large rodent beasts. My new-found short friend laughed and just said there were that many more targets for us to kill.
At first the battle went well. We dropped one of their beasts before they even noticed us, and the rest seemed to be shaken by this, and attacked poorly and without good planning. I continued to fire at them as best I could, but my companion, Del is his name, was somehow appearing and dissappearing at random, and somehow apparently bypassing the space between. Perhaps he is a small wizard of some kind, I am unsure.
Then the goblins calmed down, and one of them struck me with an arrow deep into my chest. I had never had a wound like that before, and I am surprised I remained standing. I managed to loose one last arrow, before another arrow struck me in the chest as well, and I fell to the ground, unable to stand from the pain and loss of blood. I thought I was going to die, and prayed to the lady that my friend be able to escape.
Instead, he chose to get upset with the goblins.
When I came to again, the little hero was standing atop my chest, though thankfully not near one of the arrows, and popping in and out of little bits of smoke, killing a goblin and screaming obscenities at the remaining goblins. I tried to sit up, to help in some way, but one of the goblins saw this, and with the small wizard having disappeared again, he sought to end me.
Goblin bastard cut my throat nearly to the bone. Whether due to providence, or more likely, due to the blessing of the Lady, I survived this blow, though I was now bleeding even worse than before, and my last memory was of the little wizard appearing again with his wacky she sword, as he called it, stuck through the chest of one of the goblins.
I came to, with my wounds roughly bandaged, and a donkey looking at me closely, before the halfling walked up, muttering something about badass neen jah gobbo slayer. Perhaps Neen Jah is a title of his, from his order perhaps.
He tossed me some arrows from, and I quote "the glorious victory over the gobbo bastards who tried to stab me, during which I beat their asses silly. And you helped, with arrows and such.
I somehow think that my life is going to be quite different attempting to pay him back for saving my life.

Georic put his now battered journal away, and leans back, staring into the fire.
"Thank you for saving my life, Del. Though I must admit, I've never seen spells like the ones you used, especially while stabbing people and screaming at them. Is this one of the blessings the Lady gave you?" He said, trying to make conversation loud enough to be heard, without making his throat hurt more.
