"AHHHH!" Yelled Chorovis, whipping away the saliva from his face. "That's just gross!" He then spit at the ground, whipping his tongue on his sleeve. "I think you got some in my mouth!" Chicksaloon's methods were primitive, but he had to admit, he was certainly more awake. He glared at the back of the orc's head, and then grinned as he whispered under his breath, "so that's how we're gonna play things, huh? Well we'll see who's laughing at the end of the day." He then continued through the path that Chicksaloon and his mount had left for them.

Chicksaloon chuckled heartily as he stepped out side. Pieing Talal to a hitching post he did up the bit and bridal right, making sure they were nice and tight but giving in all the flexibility. He then took the Lamaler barding and started to piece it on as Talal munched on some more mutton some one left on the ground. The Lamaler was of high quality leather, probably from some sorta mole or something that lived under ground as it had a strange appearance to it. Once that was on nice and tight Chicksaloon pulled over a few saddle pads and then slung over the saddle bags before tossing over the heavy leather War saddle. it had a special construction with many many straps in all manner of directions to keep the saddle, and ride, in place even when inverted on a cave wall or ceiling.

Feeling much more fed up then nervous about the fighting that had continued from last night, Sosay finally decided to intervene between the two soldiers.
"Enough of that you two..." commanded Sosay in a stern fatherly voice while on his horse.
"If you both keep acting like this we're going to scare away any animals that we might find. If either of you even had half the calm of the hobgoblin we would be able to catch many beasts off guard during the hunts." who Sosay pointed to as he spoke about him.
Returning his hand to his mount's steering he continued, "Furthermore, I do not wish to see anymore trifling through the better part of this hunt, so the next person to act as a fool will be dressed in fool's clothing for the remainder of the trip. Are we all clear?" not waiting for answer Sosay audibly mumbled to himself,
"We're soldiers dammit, let's starting acting like it..." as he started to ride towards the rode to begin their hunting trip.

"But he...and I...and the lizard...it did the...." Chorovis stumbled through his wording, pointing in various directions as he spoke. "Fine, I give up. Whatever you say" and he threw is hands up in the air.
Loudly, the horse neighed, as if it were laughing at the whole situation. Chorovis turned to towards his horse and exclaimed "Quiet you!" And continued on his way.

Jaegar watched the situation. He then jumped up on his horse when Sosay finished his speech. He then kicked his horse a little to make him go up to the two beings and he gave a cold stare at both of them, well, mostly at chicksaloon. He then gave a solid kick on the horse making it go in the direction Sosay went. He was on his way for the hunting trip as well.

As Chicksaloon finished up making Talal ready the other one who traveled with us, Sosay, grew angry and lashed out at him and Titanis. This enraged Chicksaloon who turned to challenge and fight the well dressed man but a cold stare from Jaegar told him not to take any action. It was rare that some one would be given such a pass on slighting or challenging Chicksaloon, but he had learned that there was normally a good reason that Jaegar would make him back down.

Even on horseback, the journey through the extensive mountain ranges of the North Volkun mountains was not one of ease. The only member seeming to have no issue with the circumstances of the terrain was Chicksaloon whose mount Talal was easily able to move through the mountains with no problems whatsoever while the rest of the party lagged behind on horseback mostly allowing Chicksaloon to have his mount go over the terrain first to see if the path ahead remained stable as before the whole party would walk over it.
"At least we have the weather on our side" Sosay thought to himself thankful that it hadn't begun to rain or snow on the part of the mountains that they were moving through.
The midday sun had shown itself proudly on the party for the past few hours leaving them mostly comfortable in the surprisingly temperate climate of the mountains despite being very close to touching some of the small clouds that painted the sky. The majority of the party was quiet, excluding the occasional yes or no questions to better understand their situation or to simply pass the time.
Looking up at the fair blue sky, Sosay felt a brief sense of peace for a second from which he sighed and closed his eyes as he began to grin a little. When he open his eyes and saw the party he noted his current situation and once again focused his attention at the task at hand.
"I can't keep losing focus like this, we have a job to do and any further loss of my focus could become a serious problem if I'm caught unprepared in a bad situation." He thought to himself critical of his lapse in concentration. "Even in a calm situation, if I don't keep my concentration the whole party could end up dead." Sosay rationalized, continuing his self-requirement to stay focused at all times. "No, I won't make that mistake again..." he mumbled to himself as the party continued to pass through the mountains.

The path threw the mountains was fairly solid were a path could be said to have existed. For the most part however Talal and Chicksaloon ended up going ahead of the party by several hundred feet to scout the terrain.
"Foolish people bringing horses into the mountains."
Then again he had not acquired Talal by the same means that they undoubtedly received there steeds. at one point in his inner Contemplation of the evens that bonded him and Talala together he had not realized he went so far ahead of the party or that Talal had stopped to rest upside down on a overhang. It was not until his comrades had caught up that he was made aware of this.

Chorovis, was undoubtedly the one most unused to the conditions, or at least, it seemed that way. it wasn't that he was lagging behind, but he certainly wasn't the first in line, and he had to readjust himself every so often, to make sure he wouldn't fall off. Even Jaegar, who had only been a yard or so behind him, was able to sit on his horseback without even a wince from the uncomfortable ride. Though, he can't really say he was an expert rider in the first place. He'd never taken much to horses, and he was riding his horse bareback, a decision that he had come to regret fairly quickly. He'd certainly not forget this lesson anytime soon.
The only thing keeping him from worrying about the rash that was now developing between his legs, was the quiet Sosay, who as of recent, had started mumbling to himself. Both curious about his thoughts, and relieved that there was now a distraction from the uncomfortable ride, he quickened his pace a bit, and soon was right behind Sosay. He was only a few feet behind Sosay now, and as he inched upon him, he heard the last few lines of his seemingly short monologue. "No, I won't make that mistake again..." Chorovis wasn't quite sure what was bugging Sosay, but as part of the team, he should reassure the leader of this voyage. After all, his distractions might as well be ours as well.
Chorovis sped up, just enough to be riding at a proper trot, and evened his speed with Sosay's, so that they were walking beside each other. Chorovis reached out, and patted Sosay on the shoulder. He then brought his arm back down, and smiled widely at him. He was unsure if reassurance was what Sosay needed, but he could only hope that what he offered helped. Chorovis continued to smile, as his horse slowly crept back into the place that they started at before.

Feeling somewhat perplexed by the actions of Chorovis, Sosay simply sighed and thanked Chorovis for his comforting gesture. He could understand how one member of a party mood may be the difference between life and death and he could respect that Chorovis would understand this as well. Although Sosay seemed to calm down on the outside, his emotions within him were filled with his anger and frustration with earlier issues. Sosay pulled out his blade to look at it once again "Still dirty..." he thought to himself irritated by the dirt he perceived to be on this well honed and shined blade. After sheathing his dagger to keep his focus on what's in front of the party he noticed that Chicksaloon had nearly left the group's line of sight in the far distance.
"Chicksaloon! Wait for us!" Sosay cried, as he rushed the party towards him.

"Chicksaloon! Wait for us!" Sosay cried
Chicksaloon was suddenly torn away from his inner contemplation as Sosay yelled out and rushed the party to him. Noticing he was upside down Chicksaloon flexed his abdomen to help keep the blood flowing to his legs as he locked gazes with Sosay and the rest of the party.
"for 3 miles the path is stable and sure footed but after that care must be taken as it grows steep and unsure." Chicksaloon reported while still suspended from the cliffs overhang.

The journey continued for the better part of the day. Although the party managed to not find any animals particularly worth hunting, they did find a stable cliff to make camp on for the night that Chicksaloon claimed could hold at least three-fold the party's current weight with no problems.
The night over the mountain tops was cold and bitter. A fire was placed in the center of the party's encampment and as ambient flame blanketed the party from the piercing chill of the land.
After lighting the fire with his spark spell, Sosay sat down in front of the fire, unsheathed his dagger once again, and began to stare at it for what seemed to be an hour for Sosay, but in reality it was only maybe a couple of minutes in actual time. When he finally snapped out of this trance Sosay began to clean his blade in front of the fire doing his best to try and clean the blade of its perceived stains once again.
"Still dirty..." he thought to himself as he moaned from his lack of success.
Feeling somewhat disappointed at the day's events and his own personal failure at making he blade clean he continued to sit in front of the fire waiting for company from a member of his party hoping that casual conversation would ease his mind from his own thoughts if even just for a second.

Jaegar sat 5 feet from Sosay. He fell silent as he stared into the fire. It put him into a little trance. He couldn't stop staring at it, only because it reminds him of the fire sword of his old kingdom and the god Rubicante who flames the sword.

Chicksaloon sits at the fire chewing slowly on some very tough meat and stiring a few peppers on top of a flat rock next to the fire. He looks throe the companions around him stopping a bit on each one as he dose thinking to himself "They may not look much, but might just be they aren't that weak" He gives a small smile to himself at this thought when his eyes fall upon the leader Sosay, he appears to be transfixed upon his weapon just a little more than is nessasay.
"Stare long enough at that blade and ya just might get some blood on it...or are ya too squeamish for that?"
