With General Effigy out on his own hunt, the other men were left to spend sometime waiting for his return for us to deal with our major issue in the meantime. Sosay overall not really displeased with the events that happened within the tent felt that understanding the men he would be working with was necessary before they should head into a major battle similar to the one coming up. Already knowing Jaegar the hobgoblin, Sosay felt confident enough in his skills not to worry too much, although he was still far too unfamiliar with the hobgoblin's man Chicksaloon or the other human that would make up their hopefully temporary group within the Blackspear Legion. The day was getting ready to end with the sun in place to set among the mountainous horizon, so the journey would most likely start the following morning. Sosay's unease began to relax as he stared off into the sky for a brief second or two. When he finally avert his gaze and look towards his future party they seemed to be talking about something in a casual manner. Feeling that the conversation looked mostly unimportant, but still useful in terms of knowing his party better he walked towards the party and upon arriving at a campfire they all sat around he sat down and asked, "So what are we all talking about right now?"

"Oh, nothing much" replied Chorovis, as he looked down and fiddled with the cup of water he had been drinking from. *How long has it been,* he wondered to himself. *How long has it been, since I've had such casual conversation?* He discarded the thought, for now was not the time to worry about the past. Now was the time to enjoy the present, and to share it with new friends. He looked up and smiled at Jaegar. "I was just about to ask how one such has yourself comes to become so...socialized. I mean, not to offend, but you don't usually see hobgoblins wandering around, greeting people like nothing. You'd more often find them on the battlefield, not in a courtyard." He smiles and laughs, taking a sip of his cup.

Chicksaloon sat at the fire a small distance away from the rest of the party. He had a large amount of unidentified and blackened leather like meat slowly spinning over the hottest part of the fire, the juices no longer hissing as they apparently cooked out long ago. The meat also gives off a highly peppered smell that stings the nose. In a small pan sits a few peppers roasting in the heat of the fire also becoming more and more leather like as time passes. He listens to the group as they talk and only slightly raises a eyebrow as the newcomer approaches the group. Chicksaloon turns his shoulder to the man, not wanting him to seem inviting to share his food.
"They Talk, I cook. ::Grunts::"

Chicksaloon looks up at the question form the fighter, his gear giving away his profession more than my mount giving away my origins. He returns the smile with a very toothy and mean looking grin full of blackened and yellowing teeth. He removes the meat from the fire, smoke pouring off of the more chard parts and takes a large bite. He chews it slowly as he stares at Titanis, a few long seconds later he swallows, the lump still mostly solid can be seen travailing down his gullet.
"My lord was raised in the customs of our more civilized peoples, more than a mere tribe, Pyronova is a Kingdom of Power and Strength. However, even power must sometimes be courted. As for myself, It was a matter of survival."

After a brief pause from the party, Sosay, feeling slightly left out of the conversation, started feeling that the conversation might begin to get a bit too tense of he were to let the human fighter respond the that comment so quickly he changed the subject.
"So my good man," Sosay said to Titanis, "I am familiar with the company of my associates here," as he pointed to the orc and the hobgoblin, "but you seem to be a new face for all of us. What's your name and your story?" Sosay asked inquisitively though not in an aggressive manner as to avoid any temper that the man might have.

Chorovis's stomach growls loudly, but he tries not to notice Chicksaloon's food, due to the awkwardness that seems to be growing in the air. Or maybe that's the smell of the burned meat. He wasn't sure, but he knew he wasn't getting in his way. Effigy was the one who had truly allowed Chorovis to be a part of this traveling group, and with him gone, Chorovis felt awkward and unprepared to ask for anything major from the group, especially food. Hell, he hadn't even contribute much to the battles, due to Effigy's brute strength getting them through everything, but if socializing was all that was left, then goddamnit, he would socialize! Chorovis squirmed in his spot. He quickly looked over at Sosay, and thanked the gods for a distraction from his hunger. "Oh!" Chorovis exclaimed. "I'm terribly sorry. With all the fuss, it seems I've forgotten the most important part of any meeting. My name is Chorovis Titanis." He held out his hand to shake Sosay's. "I'll spare you the annoying bits of my background, and jump right to the climax." He grinned, to show he had only the intention to make friends. "I traveled here from the Royal City of Calis, in hopes that I could ask the leader of the Volkenheim for a...a favor. I seemed to get quite lost on my way though. Thank the maker that your friend Effigy had allowed me to come with you all, or I'm not sure how much longer I'd've gone on for."

Sosay shook the the hand of Chorovis leisurely, he felt that Chorovis wished to be friendly with the way that he smiled and introduced himself so Sosay did the same as he said,
"Good to meet you Mr. Titanis, I am Sosay Kaizer, with me are my associates and travelling company of Jaegar of the Fire Knights and his man Chicksaloon of the Blood Tusk tribe. As I'm sure you're aware, we're headed off to go hunting as we await the return for General Effigy, and although you wish to consider him our friend, unfortunately we're not so lucky for that to be the case, we are simply soldiers serving under his command and at this point we're nothing more than that to him." now smiling he continued, "Regardless, I thank you for your warm introduction and I welcome you to join us as head out to hunt tomorrow morning."

"Well, I'm glad I can consider you, all of you, as my friends, and more so, my comrades." Chorovis finished off his drink, and with that, he suddenly felt a great wave of exhaustion at the mention of 'tomorrow morning.' He looked around at the faces of his new teammates, smiling as he realized, *My great dream may finally be coming true.* And with that, he fell backwards, exhausted from the long travel with no sleep.

Jaegar sat next to his horse. He fell silent; not saying a word. He looked up and peered at everyone within the tent. He sat cross legged and had his back straight. He gave his normal cold stares to everyone. It was his common greeting or gesture that he acknowledges you exist and that he feels neutral and indifferent about you. He got up and took off his wooden armor. He was now in his normal hobgoblin clothes. He then took his soap and walked off to the entrance of the tent. When he lifted the tent flaps and got to the threshold, he turned his head and said in a gruff voice, "I'm going to go clean myself and get this dirty disgusting sweat and grime off me." He then turned continued out of the tent and off to the creek. He had his flail with him strapped to his belt.

[The next morning]
Chicksaloon entered the stables were the horses were kept, His massive body dwarfing some of the smaller mounts as he passed one horse after another. He would stop on occasion to greet a particularly strong or wild looking horse but ignoring most of the beast despite their hoof stomps and snorting. He eventually came to the last , and biggest stall Were his mount was being kept.
"Ahh Talal, you magnificent beast."
He took a large chunk of bloody mutton from the mess hall earlier and brought it with him specifically to feed her with. The huge beast was in fact a Riding Gecko that he had taken from a Drow who no longer had need of her. The magnificent beast suited him perfectly for she could ferry him great distances on her long, sleek, muscular back. Her Iron tough hide could fend of most blows and the Barding the Drow had on her took care of the rest. But should she need her mouth full of razor sharp teeth could rend flesh from bone easily.
Just as he placed her reigns on her to take and ready her for the day Chicksaloon could hear more people entering the stables.

Jaegar walked into the stables looking down as he tried buckling his belt. He then got up to his horse and got his wooden happuri off the shelf next to it. He then strapped it on and slicked the hair on the helmet back. He then gave chicksaloon a quick cold stare. After that he sat next to his horse and leaned back against the wall.

Chorovis stumbled through the stables, still waking up from the nice rest, after so long without it. He wiped the crust from his eye and drool from his cheek, and he mumbled to Chicksaloon, "Mornin." He was awake, but he was still fairly new to traveling great distances in short amounts of time, and it'd be a bit before he hardened up. He stumbled through the stables, lazily looking through the each stall for the horse that he had taken as his own. He figured he should probably name the beast, since he would be traveling for a while, but figured that he'd have plenty of time for that later. Besides, he'd barely taken the horse, and he was sure it had felt some sort of resentment towards him. No need to push unwanted feelings onto a creature. Especially a horse.
He stopped for a bit when he finally found his horse, big a black like the night. He had to rub his eyes a bit more. He got some wheat he had found earlier, and gave it to the bulky horse to munch on. He then put the rains on the horse, and led it outside. He wasn't ready to ride it, and he needed to wake up a little more, so he decided to stayed on foot until it was time to leave.

As Sosay watched the orc and the hobgoblin mount their riding animals, he recall Chorovis' asking about the civility of the two and although Sosay admired their self-control, he was also bemused by their propriety though he did not admit to it.
As Chorovis began to head to the stables close behind the rest of the party, Sosay continued to think of what might be the true intentions of the party sort of as a passing fancy that eluded his mind just as he thought that he might be close to catching the answer. Pausing for a brief minute he pulled out his dagger to look at it once again and upon doing so it shined radiantly in the morning sun.
"Still dirty..." he thought to himself still irked by how impossible it had been for him to clean the dagger since that fateful night...
Sosay then sheathed his dagger, "Can't worry about this now, we have work to do." he rationalized to himself before arrive at the stall where he horse had been hitched the previous afternoon.
"With any luck, we'll have a bountiful kill and be back before sundown he thought to himself as he unhitched his horse and mounted it for the long journey ahead.

Chicksaloon lead Talal past the group grunting to each as he passed and stopping only to speak to Titanis who looked as tho he was still asleep.
"You are no good on the trail in such conditions, Weak, I do not suffer the weak. You get one chance and I am going to help you." He takes on look at Titanis before he turns to Talal and points at Titanis's head.
"Talal...Three"(Spoken in Undercommon)
The Large Brown Gecko stepped foreword and opened its gaping maw revealing a pink saliva covered Young. It shot 3 times from it mouth each time landing on Titanis's face and neck leaving ever larger amounts of sticky saliva behind.
"HAHAHAHAHA, That'll wake em" Chicksaloon bellows as he heads out side to harnes, bard and mount Talal.

Jaegar rubbed his eyes and then got up. He never liked the morning. He started to stretch himself, and then he reached his hand out to the side of the horse and pulled the reins closer to him. He inspected his mighty steed and then walked out of the stables.
