I figure this is the best place to put my idea forward.
As it seems to add to make the world more organic I think we should add construction materials to the building process. Mainly wood and stone. The world map is a plenty with forests and mountains that gathering resources would not be too difficult.
With that being said I also propose two new building be able to construct on hexes.
Quarry: to gather stone Lumbercamp: to gather wood.
Each would have to be placed on a proper hex, mountain and forest respectfully.
Another idea would be to make them upgradable. What started as a lumbercamp eventually becomes a city specializing in forestry and craftmanship.
And that's my two cents

That sounds like a good idea. As of now we can get raw materials from mines. For example we can waive the gold income from an iron mine and get iron ingots instead, that we can use in crafting.

It would definitely add reason to trade with other countries who have resources you do not.

I think we've already gotten something similar, but it would be nice to see lumber mills and quarries. Also, if we could build these things it'd be nice. Otherwise I'm not sure it's possible to get such things outside of land searches.

You know what is found in the Desert? SALT... Salt mines would be great to build and then harvest/sell/trade... Just saying Salt is overlooked in so many economies but was the basis of wealth for hundreds of years.

i believe that quarrys should be able to be built anywhere as the are some that are on flat ground but it should be like 20% of finding it on mountains and 5% on others
