Ah, that actually makes a lot more sense now... Sorry, clearly I was not thinking. :-)

Actually I lied. I'm still confused. If hunts now only cost 1 MP now. We could technically stay in the same square and just hunt repeatedly (Up to 7 times I'm guessing since it's 1 time per in game day) So are we going to be getting stricter about factions scheduling hunts and movement times with GM's so that we can avoid a faction nabbing a GM and going "Okay I want to do my 7 hunts right now?"
((It's entirely possible I'm not understanding the system. I'm just trying to think about the drain this will have on the GM's as well as the game as a whole since we only have one map and can only have one encounter running at a time even with multiple GM's on))
That being said. Since all we use is a terrain map is there any way we can set up another hunt group on the ventrilo and have 2 hunts running at a time if there are enough GM's to run it. Give one group half the map and the other group the other half of the map or would that be to convoluted? Also I may have gone too far off topic. sorry

Ya, this chart is confusing. I thought we were staying away from decimals not running headlong into them.

From what I understand we do stay away from them. You just round if u encounter a decimal. So you cant move 1/2 a hex, but it just means that if you move at 1 and 1/2 speed for 2 days then you move 3 hexes

If say you are riding a creature with swim speed that would be okay. But your character cannot sustain a swim long enough to do this.

Little confused about flying.
It says flying is unhindered and unhindered = treat like plains, but plains and fly do not match up in that chart.
And does water refer to boats traveling on water?

You have to look at fly and walk. What happens is EVERY terrain reduces movement. And it tells you how much it costs. So every terrain = hindered But flight negates that. Roads also negate the hindrance for walking up to a point. So road in plains is completely unhindered I think.

Im not sure an Olympic swimmer can swim for 8 hours straight.
But if you have natural swim speed, thats different. But i think you cant swim using the swim check for too long.

So unless you can make the 8 hour DC, you cant do it. Since you cant traven in fractions, swimming half a hex.

unless you have a swim speed. a swim speed means swimming is so easy to you it is like walking it means you dont need to make swim checks unless you have a heavy load or are fighting

Yes if you had a swim speed I think you would be able to travel as such, but it really isn't all that worth it unless you get swim speed from say being a Dolphin! LVL 4 Druid powers ACTIVATE! EEEEEEEK.
But srsly, I could just go eagle and fly for 4 hours a day.
