The New Order and other lawful or good factions may want to make spices illegal in the future. Because of this, I think there should be some sort of benefit for outlawing spice even if it isn't as beneficial as the regular 300 gold you would normally get.

I agree with this. But if you ban spice then you don't get any revenue from it and you'll have increased crime. Maybe make some bandits pop up in your faction that will move around or smth like that.

It's true that drugs don't really have anything to do with alignment. I just find the idea of bunch paladins sitting in a circle completely baked a little strange. But profiting from spice trade is lawful (right?), it's just business. Anyways people were making a lot of comments about how we should ban spice which is why I brought this up to begin with, it really isn't that big of a deal to me really (plus 300 gold a week is amazing).

Yeah but the benefits out weigh the penalties by a landslide, even with a village there your still making a profit from the spice.

Like previously mentioned, drugs in a fantasy medieval world should neither be illegal or harmful. They greatly differ from the fake and harmful "spice" that is sold today.
The image of a bunch of baked paladins around a campfire is just what movies have forced us to view drugs as.
Imagine some of the Native Americans, sitting around a fire, smoking through a long pipe and sharing stories of mother earth and wolf.
