The day was like any other: the winds calm, the sun warm and the valley in which the Capitol is tucked away in providing much protection from many forces.
Suddenly thunder shook the lands and echoed all around. The scent of scorched earth heavy in the air followed by a screeching howl, a bone chilling sound which makes even the most seasoned of battle hardened warriors take pause. Crushing all in it's path and eating to its hearts' content: Remorhaz, The Destroyer (http://paizo.com/PRD/monsters/remorhaz.html). The torrent of activity is near indescribable with sheer terror thick in the air. In the streets women scream, babies cry and grown men wet themselves. Poor souls try to attack the great and ancient beast only to be cooked alive in their own skins. The stench of the dead with their smoldering flesh make a sickening sweetness hang in the air, heavy with added acrid smell of metal heated past the point of boiling.
Eventually the screams die down and the rumbling ceases, only to echo away the pitter pitter of hundreds of footfalls and the crushing of trees as Remorhaz, The Destroyer crawls away from the demolished wreckage of what is the barely surviving town. To be sure, legends do tell of such a beast with its many legs and skin so hot it can make a man boil with just a touch. It is also said that the Giants of the Il-Kahn Cliffs talk to this great creature - one strange story even tells (though not well believed) of Giants catching this great beast and passing it around as a Rite of Passage.
Just as the Sun gives way to the Moon only to give way back to the Sun, legends of creation cannot come to be without first speaking of destruction. These are such the ways of the world and the existence of everything. Even our houses are built by destroying the natural state of one material to create a more useful material.
To say that the days of worry about such legends being past is folly. The tales which are told in whispers around fires are there to remind the old of the ...horrors...yes, horrors...and to teach the young that have been much strife before and much strife is still to be. To rise above these hardships, to carry on, to pick up the remnants of what remains and to build anew. These are days in which will be turned into stories which our children's children's children will speak to their young. Let us give them a good tale to tell. One tale worthy of legends of our own of how we picked up the pieces of our broken lives to rebuild better than before. To gather strength from one another and support each and every one of these lands. To bind together as one no matter what ones' race, class or gender be, for in this together are we.
~ An inspiring old man of a wrecked village, well North of Yesadi Sultanate Capitol, after the reappearance of Remorhaz, The Destroyer.

With much gasping for breath and sneezing the little Halfling make his way back to the city. This little ninja almost laughing as his coughs and sneezes exacerbate the deep gasps for air.
He tries to wave and calm those running and screaming in panic. Only to little effect.
The dust and derbies kicked up by the giant centipede caused much confusion and panic indeed.
After catching his breath he shouts in his standard high pitched (but obviously trying to make it go lower) voice
"Listen up! Do not chase after the remorhaz ya dumbies! Look around you! The actual structural damage is minimal at best those foolish guards who attempted to attack the beast found themselves severely burned but they will live... their weapons... meh. THIS IS fixable! I mean it left the city cause I baited it out to the desert! They Hate the desert... they like the cold... I can fix this... I need to fix this..."
The little ninja scurries off to his leadership in hopes of explaining the actual events leading up to the remorhaz's arrival

The little ninja spent most of the night running about the city looking for text, tomes, scrolls, even a tapestry regarding the language of the giants. This would be the key to his success and he knew the margin for it would be slim by any sense of the word. "Well now how is it problems I create are problems I must resolve? Properly equipped physically and mentally for a task is the key component to success..." Having not even settled into his accommodations for even a day the halfling was finding it bothersome to pull himself onto the high chairs and large tables of his room... Eventually giving up, he pushes the tables into a corner along with the chairs. Then he proceeds to throw all the materials he collected on the floor and begins digging in for the night. " I am the cause so I must be the solution... I will not bring dishonor to my name... though whats in a name? I can just change that... right?" The halfling continues to work for a solution to the pest problem. He was even humble enough to post a note on his door solicitation any aid that might pass by. Attachments:

The ground started shaking as Lector was drinking his afternoon vice.
"What now?"
He walks outside to see a halfling scurries by his knees. He traces the halfling's origin to find a giant centipede made of pure nightmare.
It's only my first day and all hell's broken loose. He thought to himself. Citizen's and guards a-like have cleared away from the monstrosity.
A citizen looks at his Elite Guard emblem as if seeking directions. "Run as fast as you can!" he bellows. The man turned and kicks up a cloud of dirt as he ran for his life.
Deprived of attention the Remorhaz retracts into the ground. A stream of dirt and smoke fuming from the ground where it disappeared, no one dared draw close.
"Setup a 200ft perimeter around that hole" Lector commanded one of the guards. "Don't let anyone get near it." The man nodded, shakened but still standing firm.

A loud shout emanates from Del's chambers as the door flies open.
" HA HA I knew I remembered! I knew I knew it!"
The little halfling is running the halls shouting in language of giants at this point.
((In giant speak))
"That large bug thought he could chase me off. Now we can see whats up! I'll share some choice words and explain the whole thing! Ill save the damn day... Big Damn hero that's what I'll be!"

Walking down the street in formation are 6 of the guards proper not just street patrol... People in the streets hurry to be somewhere else while also trying to find out what the Guard would be doing. Passing by the small bit of wreckage they enter into an Inn... A few moments pass and they emerge with a Halfling almost hidden between them all. With their assignment they escort the still armed Halfling up the road to the Castle proper.

The small figure does not seem to be putting up a fight however its obvious that he is testing the escape routes every couple steps to see how the guards react. For the most part he seems pleasured with his escort as can be see with his laughs and almost skipping pace.
"I hear you have the absolute best shawarma around... chicken, beef and fish... I am going to have to try them all!"
The guards at this point are either unphased or hiding the annoyance well. they continue into the offices of the honor guard.

Lector makes haste for the main office. "Alright... who summoned the remorhaz?" as he bursts into the office.
A detained halfling stood there surrounded by guard. "Was it him?" Chang nods back.
He walks over looks at the guards then down as the halfling. The little one stare at the ground in shame. "I can take care of it I swear." he bellows with conviction.
"You'd be a fool to try alone. Chang prep him please."

The acting Captain looks to Lector... "Hello yourself. I think that I have somebody here for you to meet." Gesturing politely to the Halfling kneeling across from him. "It appears that our friend here seeks the same goals." Offering a pillow on the floor. "Tea?" Already pouring a cup. "Who is this Chang you speak of anyway... We are concerned that somehow you just imagined this person." Smiling taking the edge off.

Mahir and Seren Tair-Ghanem rushed out of the city to meet up with the party that had left the day before without them. They had been busy working out plans for the privately owned Al-Keyh Sher, commonly translated to "School of Magic" that they had been setting up. Mahir seemed much more flustered about it than his care free brother and Mahir was anxiously trying to coax Seren to get a move on.
Anyone who has met the two knows they claim to be brothers and they do infact share the same surname but they are an odd pair for brothers indeed with Mahir clearly being a full blooded elf and Seren being a human with dragon like qualities. Seren sported a tail and a pair of horns sprouting from his head that seems to slick backwards with his hair. His hair mostly concealed them but it's a hard thing to hide when you get up close.
"SEREN"!! *Mahir called from the steps of the building they were renovating* "You have five more minutes or I'm leaving without you. If we don't leave now we'll never catch up to them and we have to meet the Emir at the gate. Come on!!"
After a few moments of waiting outside, anxiously tapping his foot to the point that Mahir was about ready to leave as he promised Seren finally emerged to join his brother. Flustered Mahir just turned around and started walking towards the gate, mumbling under his breath about next time he swears he's just going to leave him to fend for himself and maybe that will teach him to be on time. Not seeming to care if his brother heard his angry mumbles.
They met up with the Emir at the gate and started their trek to meet up with the others who were about 3 days ahead of them despite having only left the day before but they were with a proper guide who was able to lead them through the wilderness faster. The journey was not an uneventful one either as the three of them encountered some of the local wildlife along the way with the Emir becoming grievously injured by a boar the first day. With a night of rest he was conscious enough to call upon his God for healing strength and carry on with the journey. They were more prepared for the second boar they encountered the following day and the third day they encountered a deer that they mainly killed for fresh meat to cook over the fire when they caught up with their party.
On the third day they reached their destination. Leaving the Emir at the border of their territory and heading off to face the unknown and scout out some potential resources for the school, and for the city in an attempt to prove they are useful to the government since they elected to remain a private institution instead of owned and run by the local government. In addition they felt it would be good to get a lay of the land after hearing about the mighty beast that had been skulking around the area as of late. Thinking that with a proper magic school, training the inhabitants who wished to learn that the city would be better equipped to face this threat, and the more that will surely be at their doorstep over time. Mahir was determined to learn all he could to be better prepared for these threats and he was determined to drag Seren along so that his brother might learn something along the way to help keep them both alive.

Ahmed set about putting up camp after reaching the stretch of land that the Sultan, in his exalted wisdom, ordered Ahmed to lead a party to. He talked lightly to Ravi (his horse) as he set the campfire and placed his banner high on a hill so it would be visible to those who are joining the expedition. He kept his bow readily at hand as he worked, ignoring the minor inconvenience it provided as he set out his bedroll and cleared areas for the others that would be joining.
As he did this he allowed himself to reflect upon the events that led to his current position, orders, and location.
It was quite recently that he was promoted out of being a lowly militia members and was accepted into the Order of the Lion, himself being a rather odd addition to such an august body of cavaliers. His ability as a horse archer, which was most definitely exploited by the militia during his interim in their service, Was spotted by the order and his ability at riding and natural loyalty to the Sultan spoke to his credit as well. His acceptance and first assignment came with such speed that Ahmed's head was still some what spinning with the implications and responsibility now handed to him. He tried to cut his teeth on adventuring by going hunting with that small black clad fellow, who apparently has a knack for pissing off Remorahz the destroyer. To luckily and disappointingly not much affect, the group that went hunting succeeded in bringing down a raccoon of terrifying proportions. Ahmed chuckled as he though this over and turned to look over the land that his expedition was to claim in the name of the Sultan.
He pulled out the scroll that had his orders and read the names of those that would join him...and their designations...Ahmed's guts turned in anticipation and not a small amount of fright. Not one but four casters would be joining him, Ahmed's left hand moved across himself in a warding gesture he learned as a child meant to keep dark magics and spirits at bay, and fought of a shiver that threatened to move down his spine. Ahmed had never been overtly fond of the use of magic in close vicinity to him, write it up to superstition, that made it no less unsettling. He went to sleep the first night with these thoughts on his mind as Ravi grazed and kept watch over his sleep.
The time passed this way until three days after Ahmed had arrived and set up camp. Ravi got his attention with a stamping of his hoof to break Ahmed's reverie over a book. Ahemd scanned the horizon and saw two humanoids approaching...both dressed in the robes and such common of casters. Ahmed went cold and warded himself again as he looked to make sure his Banner was noticeable to the approaching figures. Ever wary he mounted Ravi and readied his bow and rode out to stand next to the banner, Ahmed striking quite a figure in his cavalier's armor and banner blazoned behind him in the warm wind.

The prep work for Del was minor he seemed to stroll about the different shops just looking at the items. Never buying anything of note. He spent little time putting together his belongings as he wore what he owned. This land exploration was going to be dull, tiresome and perhaps dare he say it
"Boring...that is all the desert amounts to... boring saaaaannndd."
He kicks up a puff of dusty sand as he strolls the market area. However orders being orders Del knows he must obey if his aspirations are to bear fruit...
They would hunt for a while near the capital before the party leaves for the desert. Perhaps the halfling would get to stretch his legs and ease into some application of force...
"A raccoon... seriously? We are going to kill a raccoon? Ugh...."
The ninja runs towards the beast smaller than even himself and watches the thing snap at him. laughing the small ninja throws two ninja stars. One connects as the other falls short. The direct hit of the one sends the raccoon into painful cries and jerking motions. While not a death blow it has obviously struck true and leveled great pain to the small thing.
An arrow zips by into the raccoon's head ending its misery. as Del looks over he sighs.
"Nice shot horse man..."
he fakes a smile and then mumbling to himself says,
"Why did it have to be the jerk with the horse..."
