most low level players will have a 7 in about 40 chance to encounter something they can actually beat on a hunt not to mention crafters dont get any exp for crafting. the reason im bringing this up now is because the issues that i saw with the system were all mitigated by the rp gold ruling but with the new proposal that balance is destroyed either way. while a 75 gold a week cap hurts less than the 1-2 gold per post both ruin any real chance of someone leveling up with any sense of time(ie you were able to get to lvl 3 in 2 weeks if you worked really hard now it will take months for most some people to make it to lvl 2) i understand some people can lvl much faster but the norm will probably be much slower
i want to make it clear this is not a proposal yet this is me trying to see what other people think

so so i normally in a pathfinder campaign you would get exp for completing objectives and succeeding at what you're trying to do so this does make sense

Quest? Dungeons? This is starting to sound like a MMO...I don't want to play WoW

Uh questing and dungeons is a pretty standard part of DnD. Crypts full of skeletons, wizard's towers with all kinds of strange magical traps, caves with a kobold cult worshiping a long dead (or not so dead) dragon. These kind of things hardly started with WoW.

Your problem will be solved by traveling in a group and not hunting alone. Even effigy does not hunt alone. Although I did hear he killed his team member last time. Maybe he should hunt alone

even in a group theres a high chance of facing an enemy that a low level group would be hard pressed to beat and that dosnt change the crafters xp problems

These kind of things hardly started with WoW. I do not contest that, But i can imagine that any system put in place here would be pretty much standardized with the same quest and dungeons re run-able with each new PC, Now if something were put into place were quest are pretty much one time deals ( Go slay this dragon---party slays Dragon---Dragon STAYS dead---No one else can run that quest again ) then sure I am all for it but if it becomes a "What should I do to reach lv 2?" Older Players reply " Go do Quest A, B, C, D, and ding." then I am out because I did not come here to play WoW

I feel the same way as cybernx. Maybe each zone/faction have a unique quest that can only complete once. Once the quest is discover, the faction can assemble a group to clear it. Or maybe even have a epic quest, like slay a dragon, that everyone race to finish it.

Quests... what we Magistrates call instances, are currently under construction. More details will be revealed in the weeks to come.

I agree with cybernx and loreseeker, it take me out of the game completely if this game started to resemble an MMO. I like the idea of each faction having there own personal quest(s) and some quests that factions can work together (or compete) on completing. Another good idea would be to have events that effect a large portion of the Realm where the members of the different factions can decide for themselves what they want to do about it.
As for the experience point distribution(we're getting a little off topic here) I'm pretty indifferent. I haven't really had much trouble with encounters myself. Last session we were forced to run away from a treant but after thinking about it a bit I thought of a foolproof plan to befriend it. The point is that early on in the game, a little cunning can solve just about any problem even if the encounter is 6 CRs above your level. Even if it is hard to level up early on at least its a fair playing ground, everybody follows the same rules and gets the same kinds of encounters. My worry is that later on high level characters will be able to take lower level ones out into the wild and kill a CR 12 creature then just give all the experience to the low level characters (they all might level up like 1 or 2 times which is ridiculous in my opinion).
