I just saw 20 words spread out over 4 posts in a row in the forum-rp section.
I'm done caring about complaining about abuse.
Ya'll know my arguments.
Might as well just make everyone lvl 4 and get actually decent posts.

Just suggest a 100 character limit. No more, no less. Wouldn't that be better instead?

That's not even it.
At first I tried to ensure I read every single post because I figured if someone took the time to write something I should at least take the time to read it.
I tried, I really tried to keep this up. I cannot anymore. Mostly because I feel people are not taking the time to write.
The "incentive" to roleplay has just turned into an "incentive" to spew shit.
Just my opinion.

I don't care about limiting length. I just want to be able to read something and feel I did not waste my time.
I like reading stories other people write.
I am an avid reader.
These are not stories.
These are "I have to post so much each day to earn forum gold so I am not left behind."
Can anyone one of you honestly say you are even reading all these posts?

It is becoming an arms race, who can level the fastest with role playing. I myself fell victim to the temptation to join in on this and use the forums as a way to speed up my character's leveling. But if people are going to spam the forums to get ahead I feel like I need to join them or get left in the dust.

I can't even read my own writing lately, it's been terrible because I had that same feeling. Gotta post to earn xp.
I have lost the join in my writing. The detail. The feeling. Its become...forced.
Thats why I will be abstaining from it until it has calmed down.
I am going to earn my experience in game.

I will rewrite my solution. Who knows? Maybe someone will actually see it this time:
Have people spend movement points to gain forum gold.

There is no solution that will work. No solution people will vote on. There is a 9000xp cap in place now and I am so thankful for that.
My only resolution is that people will get to level four and stop trying to force it so much.

I agree with Effigy on this. It's a bit dumb. I spent a lot of time keeping up to everything and I realized that there's no point to it.
From now on I will also earn my XP in game.

I don't spend most of my time, unlike everyone else, to get so much xp. I would be gladly be deducted of rp gold if I post too much. But what is ridiculous is that everyone is getting the wrong message and forcing an xp race. You people should be ashamed. I don't post every 5-10 minutes. I'm not an author or a writer, so don't expect great results from me. At least me, Aegoth, sig, Oirendial(squid), and hemata try. I mean, my stuff could be as bad as van damme's acting, but that doesn't mean I'm not trying as hard.

I will continue as I have, simply because I'm not doing things for Gold, I'm doing things for the roleplay and connection between characters so it's not simply a string of battles with no real dialogue between fights. But I too have slowed down on my posting. I've always felt forced to do rp usually not because of any incentive for it but because people expect me to post so they themselves can continue as well. It's always been about enjoyment for me, both the enjoyment of myself and the enjoyment of others. I'm happy we have the block at 4th level.

I do not want anyone to feel that I think their writing is shit. No one can write something decent when forced with tight deadlines. Creativity is replaced with mono-tenuity.
Roleplaying in the forum should be to enhance gameplay, not to become the essence of it.

I think it's best we stop doing the "past" threads. Those are the ones that milk the rp gold.

I think past threads should be created post-level 4. We want players to explore their pasts, but with a clear conscience and the ability to truly think about who and what they were and where they are today.
