i feel like the current rules are a little unfair so here's my proposal
if you kill any enemy in combat but then flee before the combat is over you get half exp for the enemy's you killed and none for any left alive so as an ecaple lets say there are three enemys worth 300 exp each and you kill two and must flee from the third you would gain 300 exp(150+150=300) and none for the final

Why would you have to flee? I don't understand this concept. I only flee when I see constantine trying to make love time with owlbears

Lol. You were probably thinking about it with those goblins at first. Wouldn't you have liked to have kept some of the experience for killing those Goblin Dogs and a few goblins if they had brought you down to 1 hp or so?

And if it was 5 mummies and you killed one before they could organize?

I do not mess with mummies. Think of the children

That one was truly cringe worthy, well done, well done indeed.
On the topic of the actual subject at hand I am a little concerned that this rule would even further the exp gaining advantage that hunting classes have over non-hunting classes.

thats like saying "i dont like the advantages crafters have over non crafters" when you made the crafter you had to know you would be under leveled unless you had a friend every class can hunt it just some cant fight very well but punishing someone for hunting is unfair i killed the animal i should get at least a portion of the exp.

As a crafter yes I will have a level disadvantage. But the level disadvantage here doesn't arise from the fact i'm a crafter it arises because I don't have survival as a class skill, which is not something that only affects crafters. More to the point even with flee mechanics as they are hunters will have an exp advantage, and that's fine, I just don't see a reason to exacerbate it.

i was unaware you needed survival to hunt i was never told about it(though i do have it) i get the point your making but is still dont think a player should be basicly punished for the sake of balance there should be better ways for crafters to get xp im acually thinking about that cause your just getting a different type of xp than what i get from killing something your still getting better and doing things. I just dont think players who by killing something(the goal of the hunt) should receive nothing because a crafter cannot achieve the same feat

With the recent amendment to the hunting system I retract my objection.
