In the order asked: Depends on how the GMs choose to rule it. Logically, yes, but for the purposes of how they work the game that might be broken and disallowed. Theoretically you could, but generally speaking, casting 'charm person' on people to get what you want out of them is socially equivalent to using rufies. Doing it to a shop-keeper to get a better deal is not only underhanded and a good way to piss off the whole town (NPCs are people too, remember), it's quite probably illegal in most places. No. You can't use spells that have a duration of rds or mins to help out with checks that take hrs or days with the exception of Enhanced Diplomacy(since that's an orison and you could theoretically just keep recasting it again and again the whole time). Yes, that's what it's for, but it still has the material requirements. With the way this game is structured, you'd have to have 300 gp worth of iron to do it, so in the long run it's actually cheaper to have a craftsman make you one.

yea but if a craftsman to work on the blade is absent and you dont feel like buying a whole new weapon(sentimental reasons?)its a good alternative. also if you are just getting the same weapon type ;just a master work version then its cheaper.
